"I've slept over here 600 times and i've never seen this door open." Pope says as we walk in to the room.
"Here look this is the original owner, right here." John b says getting a bored off the wall and sitting it on the desk to show the group.
"Okay. Robert Q. Routledge, 1880 to 1920 There's the lucky compass, right there." Kie says.
"Actually, um he was shot after he bought it. Then the compass was shipped back to Henry, He was killed in a crop-dusting accident when he had the campass. After he died, the compass was given to stephen, Stephen had the compass with him when he died in vitnom."John b says.
"Let me guess he died in action right?" JJ asks he had his head turned to the sided lightly and it was funny because Ari looked exacly like him because she had her head turned to the side like he did.
"Kie Ari's the femal versoin of JJ look" I whisper in her eye and her brown eyes look at them then back at me.
"Oh my" She say and we giggle then notice the boys stares. So we turn our giggles in to fake coughs so John b can continue.
"Sort of uh he actually, he was killed by a banana truck, In the country. Anyways, after that, steohen passed the compass down to him, My dad" John b finishes his family line.
"Hm. Sounds like there's a reoccurring theme here." JJ says, Ari starts humming and bobbing her head back and forth.
"Yeah, you have a death compass." Pope says.
"I do not" John b said.
"You kinda do JB" I mutter.
"Get rid of it dude. Its cursed and made its way back to you." JJ says.
"Look my dad used to talk about this compartent in here. Soliers used to hide secret notes in here." He says i wasn't paying attintion anymore i was paying more attintion to my thoughts like how i was going to tell Ari that JJ was her dad and i even have to ask JJ if he wants me to tell her.
"Lori and Ari loves the roaster" John b says which pulls me out of my thoughts.
"You ok baby?" JJ asks me.
"Yeah i'm fine." I say and figet with my necklace i knew he could tell it was a lie.
"You sure?" He asks again and i don't have time to respond before we hear a car pull up.
"Guys," I say to them but they don't hear me or notice the car.
"Guys!" JJ says louder and they look up at him.
"There's a car" He says and they all look out the window.
"Guys is that them?" Me and kie ask at the same time.
JJ sits Ari on the desk and starts to pace back and forth. "This is suboptimal." Pope says.
"John b i told you." JJ starts.
"JJ hey, look at me" John b says as he pins him against the wall.
"Hey John b let him go" I say as i pull john b off of JJ because JJ look scared even if he didn't want it to show.
"Where's the gun?" John b asks.
"Gun? I uh i can't-" JJ starts.
"Now you don't have the gun?" Kie asks starting to panic.
"Oh porch!" I say and jump a little then run out the office door.
"Lori get back here!" They shout behind me.
"John Routledge!" One of the guys shouts and i trip over my feet trying to run back in to the office.
"Come on out now!" They shout again.
"Oh my ducks there on the porch!" I whisper yell as i run back in to the office and john b blocks it after i get in.
"Window lets got out the window!" I say and rush to the windows to get it open.
I couldn't get it "It's glued shut guys!" Pope says as him and kie try to get the window unsealed i rushed over to Ari because she was about to cry again.
"Lovie it's okay everything will be okay i swear." I tell her. Kie was trying to unstick the window with a pen i could hear the two men trashing the house as i tried to keep my little girl from crying.
"You better not be in there!" One of the men shout i pick up ari and rush over to help kie with the window.
"Come on" i mutter and it works we open the window and kie jumps out first and i hand her ari. Pope was out next as a gun shot rings though the air they were trying to shoot thought he door. JB was out next then me and JJ we all bolted to the chicken coop and climed inside once we got in ari ran over to me and JJ and sat with us again on of the chicken pins walls. JJ had is arm wrapped around me and ari was sitting on my lap she rocked herself back and forth while i quitly hummed to her. John b look out the little pep whole then put his fingers to his lips. I lay my head against Ari's and grip JJ hand. The chicken started running around the cop "Do something" Pope says "Come on somebody do something!" Kie says crying, JJ squizes my hand again and drops it.
"Cover her eyes and ears" JJ says when he drops it so i do i pull her head right in to my chest and put my hand against her ears and i watch as JJ snaps the chickens neck then letting go letting it fall to the groud life less.
"Ratter what the hell are you doin'? Lets go!" One of the guys says. We hear there car start up and drive away.
"Jay come here" I say grabbing his arm and pulling him back to were i was sitting i gently kissed his sholder and squezed his hand.
"Oh my god" Kie mutters as we sit in the chicken cop but then nothing else was heard for awhile just whimpers.
