Chapter Nine

Hello everyone, one more chapter to go then I will be working on two of the other books for a few. I will be putting chapter eleven up before I start my new book. I have two fanfictions going on a different site that is up and running even though one is in the process of the finale. I know some of you enjoy reading my stories so if you come from the site thank you for reading the ones on here. This is Debra Messing she plays Lacy Pentdragon—Annie's Aunt. I hope you guys enjoy.

Chapter Nine

Baja, California, 1981

            "You sorry son of a bitch."   A blond woman screams out on the bed as she looks at the man who looks like he is filled with worry.   "You are the cause of this, dammit."   She says as she holds a hand over her bulging waist that had blood pouring out of it.   "If it wasn't for you and your damn power hungry self I wouldn't be here.   The council says that you are trying to reveal us to humans."   She looks at her mate with hatred filled eyes.   "Why?   Do you realize that what you are accomplishing is going to be drawn out into a huge war?   There will be no end of us getting hated by the humans.   It will be like the old days when we all fought for the humans to abolish slavery.   They will go against us all and put us in camps or zoos."

            "Love, it won't come to that."   He grits out as his eyes flared sorrow and anger.   "We are stronger than the humans."

            "That doesn't matter when humans out number us, you idiot!   Now look at me."   She says as she waves a hand over her injury and he growls as his eyes ran over the savage claw marks going over her pregnant belly.   "You should have thought about us and our safety before you done anything at all.   Instead, you just made us were enemy number one.   The council has already taken out half of our pack and now me being the Luna the mother of all pack members I had to watch it all happen without being able to help.   Since I am pregnant with your children I cannot put them at harm but you already have.   Now, I won't live to see the next sunrise and our children will probably die with me."   With each of her words she starts weakening and she turns to the door to gesture someone to enter.   "Either you stop your plans or you say goodbye to the heirs of the Shining pack."   He growls when he saw her cousins enter the room.   A redhead runs to her side as she panics.

            "They will not take my children away from me."   He growls out at his mate.   Three of the five men pulled out guns and pointed them at him.

            "Who said we were giving you a chance.   We have already ordered your warriors to stand down, Michael.   We the council have decided that you are too dangerous to be around your children."   Damien says as he and the other Alpha's eyes all start to blacken.   "We have hidden for centuries because we know what the humans would do if they found out about us.   Yes, we do have a small bit of the humans that are knowledgeable about us but they understand that we need to protect ourselves from irrational humans.   You will be under watch by the council for the rest of your life."   The hand gripping his weakened even more and he hears babies crying behind him.   He turned and stared in wonder at three wriggling bundles that varied in different colors.   He saw three women holding his mates hand at the same time.

            "I Evelyn Reimheart, bequeath my blood bond of my children to these three women, to be their mothers and to be the only one they will be able to trust.   Do you accept, Amelia, Rose, and Riella?"   Eve says weakly.
