Chapter Fifteen

Annie's POV

I continued to stare out of the window as we made the journey towards our pack grounds. Seth is holding my hand tightly while every so often one of the other occupants would sneak a glance towards one of us. I know they are feeling so sad about the loss of the heir, but right now I'm confused about something. The fact that Belle's pup died when mine did made me wonder what was going on. I looked towards the pair as they cuddled into each other; they didn't deserve this as much as I didn't. It just means that Isabella's fate is as good as sealed.

'How are you feeling, love?' Seth asks while tightening his arm around me gently. I turned to look into his black eyes that were so filled with love it takes my breath away. I nod and lay my head on his chest since I now feel a little sleepy. 'I know this is hard, but we will be able to have more after a while. I just don't want you to be upset at something that we cannot control.' I look at him and kiss his cheek.

'I know, Seth. I still will be a little on the pissed side that we lost it to that Omega trash.' I growl in my mind and he kisses the side of my head while his lips hold a smirk. 'Is the wolves from De Muerte's pack still in holding?' I ask as I close my eyes my body telling me to rest.

'Yes, they are. Jerry tells me that if there weren't bars in between them and Isabella when they moved her she would have been ripped to shreds because of them. They heard about what happened and are so furious. Don't worry about anything though, we will deal with them after a while and you need to get some rest. I can see those eyes being unable to stay open, so close them and rest them. I love you.' He said while kissing my lips and my brain just fades away.

Jerry's POV

As I watched the road to the pack house patiently I worry about how our Luna is holding up. I heard someone walking up beside of me and turn to see Reign and Ian standing there. "They should be here shortly." I said as I turned back to look at the road.

"Mother, told us that she wasn't taking it too gently, she cried every day since she found out. Grandmother made sure to stop her from losing the other one which will be good for her but she still has the pain from losing the male heir." Reign says while frowning down at the ground while clenching his fists. "You don't realize how bad I want to kill that stupid slut right now. It's taking everything in me to stand here and not run down there just to punch her in the stomach just so she knows how it feels to lose a child."

"I know, Reign, but we have to stay calm and let them deal with it when they come here. Just make sure you keep control of your wolf, man. We both will have to head out to the rendezvous area to meet the delegates from the other high royals around the world." Ian says and they all tense up when they see the stretch limo pulling up closer to them.

"Calm down you guys, they're here." Jerry says and walks over to open the door for the Alpha to step out holding a pale looking Annie. Everyone's eyes flared up at how weak she looks now. "We have prepared the rooms for you, Alpha. The doctor is waiting up there as well." As we all walked along the halls everyone bows their heads and offers their condolences on the tragedy that the Alpha pair has been through. A little girl steps in front of the Alpha and he stops right before he could hit her.

"Luna?" The tiny girl looks over at Reign and crooks her finger at him to lean over. When he does she wraps her arms around his neck and his eyes widened. She wanted him to pick her up and she smiles at him. "Can you please pick me up so I can talk to the Luna?" She asks sweetly and he nods his head at her while his face still held shock. She was lifted up and brought close enough to look at Annie who is now looking at the girl. The girl places her hand on Annie's cheek and strokes it while her hand turns pink with a dim light. "I know you are hurting because of the loss of your boy, but you will have to stay strong for the girl and eventually the Moon Goddess will allow him to be born. She is a sweet person already and she has lost the one thing that was to be her knight." As she says this she places her still lit hand on Annie's stomach and the woman's eyes widen when she saw the other girls hand turn blue and lift it towards the girl that is trying to stay besides our Luna. The girl's face brightens and she looks back at Annie. "The fact that she is already destined for a powerful fox is proof that she still has a knight in her corner, Luna. Do not frown because the prince will eventually be born when the fates decide for him to be. Until then, enjoy the ones you do have."
