Chapter Thirteen

Seth's POV

The beeping sound echoing through the room is the only thing keeping me calm right now. The thought that someone was stupid enough to try to kill the heir's of the Blood Kingdom made my skin ripple with my wolf's fight trying to get out. You could hear footsteps walking down the hallway and stopping in front of the door. The doctor knocks on the door and enters quietly, reading through the test results on the medical sheets. He stops and gives me a small smile, trying to reassure me of this now horror that is of my sweet mates' life.

"Alpha, the results are in and from looking at the X-rays I can see that she has two broken ribs and two fractured ribs. She has a dislocated shoulder that I will personally myself fix and there is some bruising on her hip. The babies themselves are hanging in there and there is an anomaly in the full body scan." He pauses to look at me with a grim look on his face. "Her knee showed some damage from old injuries and the same with her feet. Is there some explanation at how her feet hold old fracture lines and one bone that is floating around freely?"

"I can explain that, doctor." A soft voice says at the door and we turned to see Winter standing there with Kenny at her side. "You know the requirements to being crowned, right?"

"Yeah, you have to serve in the royal forces for a little bit." I say as I look at Annie.

"Well, she served and all that she has accomplished in the time that she served you have done only twenty percent of what she has. Her knee injury was the first one because she tripped over a rookie as they were giving chase to one of the Alpha rogue's they were in pursuit of. Her foot when they actually captured her. The only time they could and that was when she was going through her poison immunity training." She paused and took a deep breath while walking towards her daughter, smoothing some hair from her brow to give her a kiss. "She ended up so weak on one of the strongest poisons and passed out while her body built immunity. The thing is that when she was passed out she was taken because of our very own doctor was brought into the war of Omega's. She thought that using my daughter for their own gains would help them rise to the top and when Annie finally awoke, her fox only had enough energy to shift and take out about two thirds of the one's in the building that were responsible. In the process of taking them out one of the crazed old Omega's grabbed a Hummer and crashed it right into her knocking her down into the ravine that the building was built next to. This caused her to roll down the cliff facing and when she landed the car exploded with the Omega inside making the building collapse because of the loss of support beams. Two tons of the building rubble landed on her and the only thing that was injured was her feet. Miracle to us but something that pained her to no ends because she felt that she failed in what she wanted to accomplish. She broke every bone in her foot and had quite a few floating fractures. She's fine from them and made it her task to take on all of the Omega's battles from that point on."

"Not all, I still missed some while I was finishing my poison training." Annie says drawing our attention to her as she lays there holding her head up with her hand while listening to her mother's report on her. "You always forget the fact that I was trapped under all of that rubble until you guys found me four days later. Which is why my bones didn't heal like a normal break does on a wolf." She smirks at her and looks at the doctor. "Most of my injuries have healed one hundred percent except for those two. I don't see these being like those injuries."

"Well, Miss Cocky Luna, you should be fine enough to continue on your trip." The doctor says as he grins at her widely and shook his head at her. "She keeps coming to my office I will start to think she has a crush on me." When he said this I couldn't help but growl deeply at him and he looks at me with a wink.
