Annie's POV

"Do you feel up to going down to the prison now?" My mate's silky, smooth voice said from behind me where I was standing looking out the window of our Suite in the pack house. I turned and smiled a strained smile then nod. "You don't have to go now, I'm sure they can all wait another day, love." He says with a worried look in his eyes.

"No, I have to do this. This will give me some of the closure that I need." I said as I walked closer to him and snuggled into his muscled chest. He wraps his arms around me and sniffs my hair. "I want to make sure we keep up with all of our duties so that everyone is safe. This war is going to be a long and tiring one. Fortunately for me, someone tries the same thing like Isabella did and it won't go the same. Got to love Kyuubi abilities." I said with a grin on my face as I stepped away from him.

"Well then, love, I guess we need to go and get our stuff done." He grins and takes my hand. We walk over to the jail and the guards nod at us when they open the doors for us.

"Alpha, Luna." They said as we passed them. I smiled at them over my shoulder and feel my feet being weighted down, scared of what I will see when we get to the last task at the prison. We came to a door that holds the interrogations and enter it to see a woman with black hair and bright blue eyes.

"Hello." She says to us gently with a sad smile on her face. "I'm Karae De Muerte. I know you have heard of my father and mother. I just wanted to say I'm so sorry for what has happened and wish to help you remedy it from happening ever again. I know sorry's will never repair anything, but still...I am still relieved to hear that you didn't lose both of them." The woman says bowing her head. She looked so sad I knew there was something else behind all of it.

"Raise your head, Alpha Princess. I am not like some of these crazed people who would yell and shout at you for giving me your condolences considering I actually have a thought process that thinks of every angle of life." I pause and sit down right across the table from where she was sitting. "I can tell it isn't just what has happened to me that have caused so much sadness to fill you." At this she shoots her head straight up to stare deep into my eyes.

"How?" She whispers.

"I know because I have seen it before, you were rejected after being mated weren't you?" When I say this Seth looks at her and steps out of the room to give us some privacy. "I've seen it happen to quite a few people and I can say this is the first time I have seen it with an Alpha class." I put my hand on hers and squeezed it. "One good thing I have noticed about when these rejections take place is that there will be more pain towards the one who abuses the mate bond then rejects afterwards. I'll give you a tip; reject him permanently so that he cannot try to get you back." When I say this her eyes widen.

"But wouldn't that make me abusing the mate bond?" She asked or more like whispers out. I shook my head.

"No, he has already done that so when you reject him permanently it speeds up the process of you finding your second chance mate." I explain to her and tears start filling her eyes.

"I would really love that, Annie." She says her voice breaking through parts of it. I feel bad because I have a feeling he didn't just sleep with her, and reject her.

"He did more than the normal sleep and reject, didn't he?" I ask and she starts shaking.

"Yes..." She bites out, tears falling down her cheeks rapidly. "He cheated on me and when I confronted him about it he started hitting me repeatedly. I eventually cried out and the one to hear was my father." Her voice catches when she says this. "My father and he get into an argument and he rejects me in front of the whole entire pack. When he did this my father made him break it close to permanent but I still feel him sleeping with every one of his little toys."
