Hello everyone,

Sorry that it took so long to start this chapter and get it out to you.   I've been having a hard time trying to motivate myself to get this chapter right. Here's Jason Momoa he is Seth Wolfe.   Anyway, here is the story.

Annie Angel

Chapter Three

"Hello?"   Cynthia answers the door to her nice new luxury apartment.   She looked over the group of people that stood outside of the door and her eyes widened on Annie who still holds onto Blacky as a lifeline.   "Is that a wolf?"

"No, I believe he is a wolf hound.   He is the one that she rescued a year ago from the pound in the valley.   His previous owners ran a puppy mill and he was one of the puppies we rescued from there."   One of the police officers answered as he leaned down to pat the dog on the head.   The dog groans at this as if he was pleased by the attention the man was giving him.   In reality the man was trying not to chuckle at Seth who is telling him to shut up.   Cynthia looked warily at the dog.

"I don't like dogs, he cannot come in."   She says with a glare at him.   The lawyer entered the house and the other three wouldn't even try to enter.   She stared at the little girl who held no emotions what so ever on her face.   "Just take the mutt with you.   Anything that big would eat me out of house and home."

"Now, Miss Sheppard there should be no harm of him staying with her.   Besides, she was traumatized and the only way we will get any reaction from her is with him around.   She will not eat or sleep and the only thing you will get from making us take him to a pound is hospitalization for the girl."   Miss Morrow says as she stares at the woman.   "We can do this the easy way or the hard way, ma'am.   Either you take them both or you don't get either one of them.   DSS believes in taking care of the child's wellbeing and from what we have on record so far you have no desire to care for them.   I'm giving you a chance to try to prove that you can care for the children but with all the evidence that we have right now we can make sure you never get custody of them.   You have yet to prove that to us so I suggest you stick with caring for them like the mother you are supposed to be."

"What are you talking about?"   Cynthia says as she tries to hone her facial expression to looking like she was confused.   "I have always been a perfect mother to these wonderful children."   The dog sneezes when she says this and if it wasn't for the police officers being able to hold expressionless faces they would have laughed at her as Seth tried to hide his with his sneeze.

"I doubt that seriously, Lady."   Miss Morrow says as her expression shows that she doesn't believe a word coming out of the mothers' mouth.   "But that isn't for me to say that is for the judge, and they have already seen enough of you to make sure any child you have or will have in the future will no longer be in your custody."

"Look here, woman.   I don't need some rude bitch coming into my house and telling me that I'm an unfit mother.   I pay for them so that should be enough."   Cynthia says as she glares at the woman.

"Ma'am, calm down.   You are about a step away from having all of them removed right now.   Our job was to drop Annie off and make sure you understand that any harm coming to her will make the judge go harder on you when we go to trial."   The black haired officer says as he puts a hand on the girls shoulder.   "And believe me when I say you will not have it easy in the next month.   Now, the judge has told me to notify you that if you try to leave this county or city for any reason that we are to apprehend you and relieve you of the children in your custody."   He kneels down to look into the girls dead eyes and his expression softens as he tries not to show the wolf emotions of grabbing the girl and holding her to his chest.   "Sweetie, we are going to leave you here with your mother now."   As he says this the blue fire sparks her eyes a little and he felt a little hope that all was not lost with this child and apparently she doesn't believe this woman was a mother to her.   He scratches the dog behind his ear.   "Take good care of her, Blacky."   He looks deeply in the now black eyes.   "Protect, her from anything, Alpha Wolfe.   She is the hope of all of us Were."   The dog groans and licks his hand in agreement.
