The CEO's Moon

Chapter Five

Jin stared at his reflection in the mirror.  So many thoughts were running in his mind.  He was debating if he will go on with the interview or just ditch it and find another hotel where he can get a job.  So many emotions has been rushing into his heart.  Excitement.  Anxiety. Fear. Restlessness. 

He clenched his fist as he was silently arguing to himself. He needs the job, for his survival while he is here in Korea.  Landing a job at one of the prestigious hotels will be good enough for him.  But would he be able to work well?  Especially now that he learned that his boss will be his former husband.  The memory of how he came to know suddenly flashed in his mind.  

Flashback

Jin has just finished cooking his lunch.  He opened the television to watch a random show.  After switching channels, he settled on a lifestyle show . The Female host  had just introduced herself and was talking about a special guest of the show.  He started eating his simple lunch.  He was halfway through when his phone rang.  He took the phone from the side table and slid it open.  He clicked the answer button and said a polite "Hello, this is Park Seokjin. How may I help you?"

The woman on the other line answered, "Hi, Mr. Park. I am Ms. Jiyoung, the personal assistant of the CEO. I would like to inform you that you are scheduled for a final interview with my boss tomorrow at 8:00 AM. Please wear your best office dress and bring your other credentials you have with you. I will see you tomorrow, sir. Have a great day!"

"Sure, thank you so much. I will be there." Then he hanged up. He went back to eating and has already stuffed his mouth with his food  and goes back to watching, when suddenly he coughed and spat out his food.  Shock was an understatement.  He saw on the tv the very person he has never seen for the past decade.  Jin's eyes glued on the features of the host's guest.  The same  man he remembered having pink and plump lips, his nose a perfect prominence.  The chiseled jaw giving him an almost perfect image of a Greek god.  And his eyes....still as intense as he remembered them to be, mesmerizing as it should be.  

But he noticed the stoic personality that the man is emanating.  Cold, ruthless , different from once he knew him who is soft-hearted, patient and loving.  Taehyung! he whispered the name between his lips.  He listened intently as the interview progressed.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I am so pleased to introduce our guest for  today, the ever handsome CEO of Kims Group of Hotels, Mr. Kim  V or Taehyung  to most of his close friends. "  The host introduced.  Jin felt cold water being splashed as the name of the guest was announced.  He realized that the hotel that he will be working for was owned by none other than his former husband.  But how?  Jin has many questions in his mind.  Ten years ago,  he knew that Taehyung was just an ordinary student of business.  When they got married, Taehyung was a simple hotel receptionist.  There's no way he could be an owner.  

The interview lasted for about ten minutes focusing on the hotels that he owned and some random details about the hotels' expansion projects.  Befor the end of the interview, the female host  asked  Taehyung a question.  "Mr.  Kim, a lot of people are wondering of your relationship status. May we know if  you are  single?" Taehyung smiled .  Not because he wants to let people know about him and his relationship details but because he was amused.  

Meanwhile, as soon as Seokjin heard the question, he was so restless that he sat up straight. He held his breath as he waited for Taehyung's answer.  

"Everyone knows that I have a ten-year old son.  And I love him so much that he was the focus of my life as of now."  Taehyung smiled.  

"Oh yes, we knew that.  What about his mom? Are you married to her?"
