Mitch's POV

I sat down and tried to feel Wyla water. She was a skinny, fragile kitten and I needed to give her nutrients.

"C'mon Wyla, drink your water." I whispered to the car while pushing her bowl closer to her.

She meowed weakly and stepped away from the bowl.

"Having trouble?" Kirstie smiled while sitting down next to me.

"Yeah," I sighed. "If onto we had some milk to give Wyla or something."

Kirstie started to smile wider.

"Don't even think about it Dirty-Minded Maldonado," I looked at her. She got up and picked up Wyla, who had run towards the backpack.

"Mitchie, I'm back," Scott had a fish in his hand. "Wanna help me cook this?"

"Sure," I smiled, scooting over to give him space to start a fire.

The fire started and Wyla turned to look at us. She meowed and purred a little.

"What does she want?" Kirstie asked, setting her down next to me.

"Fish probably," Scott picked up the dead fish and put in on the fire.

"Oh yeah," Kirstie smiled awkwardly and looked away. I turned to see where Kirstie was staring and I noticed Avi was walking back to the camp, shirtless, with his shirt on his shoulder.

"Is anyone else hot?" He asked, picking up Wyla. "I went to go unwind by the river."

"You're right, it is sweaty." Scott took off his own shirt and threw it on the ground. "Wow, that didn't help at all."

"Guys, Kirstie's gonna faint." I pointed to Kirstie, who was staring at Avi's chest with a smile on her face.

"Oh well," Avi shrugged and walked past the camp. "I'm going to get new firewood."

"See ya later Avi," Scott waved.

"Bye," Kirstie slurred, still staring at the bearded man.

"Haha looks like Kirstie's got a crush!" Scott smiled.

"Shut up," Kirstie punched Scott arm.

Kevin's POV

I was walking in the same path Kirstie had walked before, hoping to see Travis.

I walked very slowly and carefully, trying not to reveal myself. I felt like a cheetah. A Nigerian cheetah.

I got to the end of the path when I saw Travis sitting on the ground. His shoulders were shaking and his head was down.

Was he? Yep he was.

Travis was crying.

Why? I have no idea. And I wasn't ready to find out on my own. so I ran back to camp to report on what I saw.

"Guys, guys, guys," I panted, grabbing everyone's attention.

"What? What? What?" Avi laughed.

"I went on the same path Kirstie was on," I started.

"I thought I banned that trail?" Esther gave me a stern look.

"I was looking for evidence," I continued.

Esther nodded in understanding.

"And I saw Travis too,"

"What was he doing?" Mitch asked me. Kirstie looked at me with eager eyes, almost as if she was going to ask the same question.

"This will shock you," I commented.

"Just tell us what he was doing!" Mitch looked angry. Never have I ever seen him this eager to figure out what Travis was doing or what was going on in his life.

I looked at them and then the ground. "Travis was crying."
