Kevin's POV ~A week later~

"Still looking for the other strap?" I asked Avi as he walked past the camp. "We don't really need it."

"Yes we do," Avi protested. "What if it has fingerprints on it?"

"And what are we going to use to find fingerprints?" I put my hands on my hips. "Tell me Avi."

"Umm..."

"That's what I thought."

Avi sighed and placed the parachute backpack next to his log in which he sat on during meetings and dinner.

"Guys, look what we found!" Mitch ran to the camp. His ankle was fully healed now and even better than when it wasn't injured before.

"It's the other strap!" Avi ran to Scott and Mitch and grabbed the strap. "I've been looking for this!"

"We still can't search for footprints, Kaplan." Esther walked into the camp with a large live bass in her hands.

"Haha for a second I though you meant the fish!" Avi laughed. "Since it's a bass."

"Is Kirstie back yet?" Scott asked, going to lie down on his raft bed.

"Kirstie came before you guys," I pointed to the plane. "She's in the bathroom."

"Anyone wanna help me cook this bass?" Esther asked once to fish had stopped struggling to escape Esther's grasp. "How about the Bass Dragon?"

"Ugh, fine." Avi got up and went to collect matches from under the plane. He then lit the fire and set up the handmade rotisserie.

"I'll spin it." I volunteered. "I have all of my work done for today."

Esther put the fish on the stick and Avi secured it. I went and sat down on Kirstie's log and started spinning the rotisserie.

Kirstie's POV

I exited the plane and was greeted by the smell of fish cooking and chatter.

"What's up?" I stepped off the staircase that extended from the plane and walked towards the group.

"Your chore list. you have to scour the command center for clues," Kevin pointed to a tree where the chores notebook was held.

"Esther can you come with me?" I asked Esther. She nodded and the two of us were back on the plane.

I brought Esther to where the dead pilot was. The plane reeked of decayed bodies, so both of out faces were
scrunched up in disgust.

"Kirstie! Look at this!" Esther pulled a note out from the pilot's back pocket. I stepped over about 5 dead bodies to get to where Esther was.

"Read it!" She shoved the note in my face.

"OK, fine." I took the note from Esther and read it out loud.

"Dad," I started. "I am telling you, Mitch is on the plane! Now's your chance to finally kill him! Crash the plane, I'll help you escape."

I gave the note back to Esther, who had a dumbfounded look on her face.

"I think Mitch might know a lot about this," She said, getting out from behind the dead pilot's chair. I followed her off the plane to see that Mitch and Scott had returned.

"Hey girls!" Scott smiled. Esther and I, however, were not smiling at all.

I stomped over to Mitch and shoved the note in his face.

I clenched my fist and threatened him. "Mitch, read this not and tell me everything you know about it!"
