Gabby tosses her suitcase in the trunk of HAO's car, "Thanks for picking me up. So, what's for supper?"
HAO chuckles, "I left Dave and the boys in charge of cooking, so, it could be good, burnt or take out."
"I'm starving, so, I hope it falls on the good end of the spectrum."
"Regardless, you're on dish patrol and the boys have requested you play their new game with them."
"I can do both of those things. Hey, Coach, can I ask you something?"
"Uh oh, you called me Coach; what did you do?"
"Nothing. I promise, I made good on our deal and managed to improve my grades before the end of the term by busting my ass. I need you to know that I'm planning on breaking up with Becca and I'm not sure how or if it will effect the chemistry of the girls and team."
"I figured that was coming. It's been all over social media about Wren doing a runaway bride."
"Really? Do you think Becca will have seen that?"
"You guys are all glued to your screens all day, everyday; there's no doubt in my mind that she's aware of the situation. What aren't you telling me about it?"
"Wren left Danica at the altar for me. She showed up to our party in her wedding dress, asking for another chance."
"And from the sounds of it, you're willing to give it to her."
Gabby smiles and nods, "I am. Before I left California, I was able to have supper with her Moms and we all cleared the air and they promised not to interfere in our relationship anymore."
"I would imagine it was more so Christen making the promise of not interfering, Tobs is pretty chill and would never stand in the way of Wren or Bodhi's happiness."
"Speaking of Bodhi, did you know that he's working with some company that produces eco-friendly surf and body boards?"
"I did not, but, that's awesome; he loves the water and all the creatures of the sea. You know when he was younger he tried to convince them that a shark could live in their pool."
Gabby chuckles, "I'm sure that didn't go over well."
"Wren explained to him that if there was a shark in the pool, her and her friends wouldn't be hanging out poolside in their bikinis; he changed his mind pretty quickly after that or it could have been the fact that Tobin made him watch Sharkweek with her that did it."
Gabby smiles as she pictures Wren in a bikini.
The next morning Gabby makes the short walk to Becca's dorm room and knocks. The door opens and her girlfriend lets her in. They share a hug and kiss before sitting down on the bed.
"How was your break? Did you Mom like her present?"
"Gabs, I, need to tell you something."
"Oh okay. I have something to tell you, but, you can go first."
"While I was home for the break, I ran into my ex-girlfriend, Aleesha. We umm, did alot of talking and kissed. I still have feelings for her Gabs and she asked if we could try again."
"And what did you tell her?"
"That I had a girlfriend."
"Do you want to be with her?"
Becca nods, "I always knew that I was never going to get the full Gabby experience because you were still so obviously in love with Wren, but, I, did try my best and I do love you, Gabby, but, as a friend. I'm assuming that what you wanted to talk to me about involves Wren, and her not getting married, am I right?"
