Lauren walked out of the break room and back over to her desk holding her 3rd cup of coffee in the past hour. "You should probably slow down on that stuff or you'll be wired for days," Jay said from his desk. "Not like we're gonna be getting any sleep with this one," she replied taking a sip of her coffee. "Hey Guys, Your Jane Doe from the scene was IDed through dental records as Kaitlin Hemmings, 25, she was reported missing 2 weeks ago from Indiana." Mouse said catching the team's attention including Voight's.
"2 weeks? That's a while to hold someone not to mention how'd he transport her roughly 170 miles across state lines?" Lauren asked taking a sip of her coffee again. "Mouse do you have any contact for her family?" Voight asked. "Yeah I have their address and phone number," Mouse replied. "Dawson, Lindsay want to call the family and ask them to come in?" Voight said as sergeant Platt emerged up the staircase with a look on her face.
"Voight, there's another body," she told him catching everyone's attention. "Where?" Voight asked, "Grant park, also Commander Fisher is downstairs he wants to talk to you," sergeant Platt told him. "The rest of you go check out the crime scene, I'll be there in a bit," Voight said as he followed Platt downstairs and the rest of the team left to go to Grant Park.

The intelligence detectives rolled up to the park that had half a dozen cruziers and a crowd standing around. Jay and Lauren walked past the crime scene tape and over to the wooden box where a dead young male lay with the same bruises around his wrists as their first victim and both his shoulders were dislocated. "He has the same ligature marks and dislocations as our female victim," Lauren told Halstead. "But why a male victim suddenly?" Adam asked, as Lauren looked at the box and the crowd around them noticing it was like the box was on display.
"He could be trying to perfect some twisted fantasy and when it doesn't work he dumps his victims and finds new ones," Lauren suggested earning a look of disgust from Ruzek, Burgess, and Lindsay. "What did you say you worked before Chicago?" Dawson asked her, "Vegas," the brunette replied. "That explains a lot," Lindsay says as they started walking back to their vehicles to head back to the station so that the crime scene unit could finish what they were doing and move the body to the morgue to do an autopsy.
"What does that mean?" Lauren said following the female detective who raised an eyebrow and smirked. "Have you heard the expression what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas? Well, your whole aura screams that saying," Adam said. "Well there's a reason that saying has been around so long," Lauren replied as she walked over to the passenger seat of Jay's truck.

Lauren and Jay were the last ones back to the station going through Kaitlin's online history to see if anything connected her to their John Doe Connor O'Brian but after both detectives spent an hour going through their social media along with Mouse the two victims never crossed paths before.
Connor was from upstate Illinois while Kaitlin was born and lived in Indiana her whole life, the two never crossed paths or even got within 50 miles of each other. Lauren sighed sitting back in her desk chair as she finished off another cup of coffee when the sound of footsteps coming up the stairs pulled her attention from her screen.
A familiar petite blonde, an older man with dark hair and a tall skinny brunette Lauren hadn't seen in almost a year. Voight walked over to the older dark haired man introducing himself. "Sergeant Hank Voight, You must be agent Hotchner," Voight said shaking his hand, "Sorry to meet under the circumstances, this is Agent Jennifer Jareau and Doctor Spencer Reid," agent Hotchner said causing Voight to pause a moment looking towards Lauren along with the rest of her team after hearing the last name.
The agent followed the line of sight to where the brunette was sitting. Lauren stood up from her desk as Spencer walked over to her and engulfed her in a hug lifting her off the ground. "Lauren? What are you doing here?" Spencer asked as he put her feet back on the ground. "This is where I work," she replied gesturing to the room still receiving confused looks from her team. "Everyone this is my brother, Doctor Spencer Reid," Lauren told her team introducing him as Jay stood up and extended his hand. "Detective Jay Halstead, It's nice to meet you," he said as Spencer shook his hand as JJ smiled at Lauren and pulled her into a hug. "I didn't know you left Vegas," she said looking at Lauren who shrugged before she took her mug to go get another coffee from the break room letting the team fill them in on their case so far.
Lauren walked over to the coffee maker and poured herself a coffee hearing soft footsteps behind her. "You're a detective now? What happened to the Vegas Field office?" Spencer asked Lauren as he walked into the room. His sister sighed grabbing a second mug and pouring the last of the coffee into it and handing it to her brother. "Like I already said last night on the phone, I wanted a change and something new," Lauren replied earning a look from her brother who clearly didn't believe her.
"You wanted a change? and something new? Lauren, again you hate change not to mention- Spence, don't profile me," Lauren said calling him out. "Then talk to me, why didn't you wanna tell me you moved and took a different job?" he asked her. "We already talked about this- It doesn't make any sense," he adds. "Because maybe I knew you'd read too much into it like you are right now," the detective replied as she took the mug of coffee and walked back into the bullpen.
"Ruzek, Burgess I want you to go talk to the ME and see what overlaps with the autopsies of our 2 victims," Voight told the detectives who nodded. "Do you mind if I go with you, I want to ask the ME if there were any traces of Ketamine in Connor O'Brian's system since high levels were found in Kaitlin Hemming's system," Spencer said. "Sure," Kim replied as the three started walking down the stairs and out of sight.
