Intelligence Unit, 21st District Police Department, Chicago Illinois
Agent Kohn sat handcuffed to the table in the interrogation room as agent Hotchner and Sergeant Voight walked into the interrogation room. Detective Halstead stood in the small room in between the 2 interrogation rooms looking through a 1 way window. Agent Morgan and Prentiss stood in the room along with Mouse who had been extremely quiet since they found Lauren in her apartment.
The moment agent Hotchner appeared through the door with Voight Kohn stood up. "Do you have any idea what you're doing and who I am?!" Kohn said arrogantly. "Sit down and shut up," Hotch said sternly surprising even Voight a bit. "We know all about who you are unit chief agent Kohn, we also know about how you harassed one of your agents out of the bureau, and how you followed her to her new job as a detective and abused your power to harass her and corner her into returning to the bureau and she got so tired of it that she left Nevada all together," Hotch said.
"Isn't that right?" Voight asked as he took a seat across from the handcuffed agent who scoffed. "This is about agent Reid? Look she resigned because the job became too much for her to deal with, you more than anyone should know that agent Hotchner," Kohn replied. "Do you think it might have had something to do with the constant injuries she sustained on the job not to mention next to no recovery time to heal," Hotch said as he opened a file and started laying 8 different images of agent Reid from her final year with the agency and each injury got worse and worse before she resigned.
"Injuries happen on the job, and as for her recovery time she chose to return that soon afterward that's not a crime," Kohn replied. "Cut the shit Kohn, why don't you tell us why you shot detective Reid?" Voight asked getting fed up by the games that the agent was playing. "Why would I shoot Lauren?" Kohn replied as Hotch placed photos from the security footage they pulled from the bau office when Kohn cornered Lauren.
"Because she refused to go back to Nevada to work for you? again." Hotch said. "So you waited outside her apartment until my agents left and you pushed your way in and decided that what if she wouldn't play your game that you'd gun her down and assault her while she bled out?!"Hotch accused
"I'd like my lawyer now," Kohn replied. "By all means, but that's not gonna save you from where you're going. When detective Reid wakes up, we'll take her statement along with the rape kit and evidence you'll be someone's bitch in stateville by the end of the week," Voight said simply before standing up and walking out of the room with Hotch who took the photos off the table with him when he left.

Lauren woke up to the familiar sound of a monitor beeping along with the overly clean smell of a hospital is what woke her up. The brunette looked around the room as her eyes adjusted to the light. As she looked around she notice Spencer asleep on the side of her bed holding her hand, Lauren looked at her brother's sleeping frame rising and falling as she took her free hand and pushed the few stray hairs that fell in his face.
The movement caused him to stir from his sleep and his hazel eyes to open and meet Lauren's matching hazel eye. "Hey Spency," she said softly as he sat up, "How are you feeling?" he asked still holding her hand in his. "In pain and really tired," she replied honestly, "I'm gonna go let Dr. Halstead know you're awake," Spencer said standing up and pressing a kiss to Lauren's forehead before he left the room for a moment and returned with the familiar ginger doctor.
"Nice to see you're awake detective," Dr. Halstead said as he entered the room. "Just call me Lauren Doc," she told him. "Alright, how are you feeling Lauren?" the ginger asked, "Kinda sore and exhausted," she replied. "Well you underwent 2 surgeries in 48 hours and lost a lot of blood it's not uncommon to have some discomfort and feel tired, I can give you something to help with the pain if you'd like," Dr. Halstead offered. "Please," she asked him, "Alright, April push .5 of morphine," the ginger said as a nurse took out s syringe and administered the clear liquid through Lauren's IV.
"That should start to kick in soon and you should feel better, let me know if you need anything," the ginger said before he left the room. "I'm sorry Spence, for not telling you everything from the start I was embarrassed and felt boxed in. I know I should've said something a while ago but I-I," Lauren's voice shook as her gaze fell to her hands. Spencer looked at Lauren and squeezed her hand in his. "I'm not mad at you Lauren We're gonna get through this, but from here on no more secrets," Spencer said as Lauren nodded agreeing.
A soft knock sounded on the door causing the Reid twins to look in the direction to find agent Hotchner and Sergeant Voight. "How are you feeling kid?" Voight asked her walking into the room. "Like Hell but I'll manage," she replied to her boss. "Can you tell us about what happened at your apartment after Morgan and Prentiss left?" agent Hotchner asked her.
Lauren nodded, "I went to my room and I heard a knock on my door again and I thought Morgan and Prentiss came back and maybe forgot something I was so pissed off I just wanted to left alone that I didn't even look before I pulled the door open..." Lauren said shaking her head at her own stupidity. "What happened when you opened the door," Spencer asked her trying to encourage her to continue.
"A gun was put to my head and I was pushed back into the apartment by Kohn," Lauren replied as Spencer squeezed her hand reassuring her. "Did you say anything to you?" Agent Hotchner asked as the detective nodded. "He was livid saying that... I had to go run my mouth and that we... could've been good together but I went and fucked it all up," Lauren said letting out a shakey breathy as Spencer squeezed her hand whether it was to comfort herself or him she wasn't sure. "I told him he didn't have to do that, that if he just left I wouldn't tell anybody that he was there, he just said it was too late for that and... um shot me, everything kinda blurry after that but the last thing I saw was Kohn... on-on top... of me," she said staring at her hands.
In all honesty, she was glad she didn't remember what he did but she knew. Between the pain and him on top of her being the last thing she saw it was easy to put one and two together. "You saw him on top of you?" Voight asked her again as Lauren nodded looking at him. "It was the last thing I saw before I passed out, when I woke up he was gone I crawled from the kitchen to my room and used Siri to call Halstead." The detective told him. "Why'd you call Halstead?" the sergeant asked her. "I-I don't really know, I was dying and he's my partner, my backup I guess," Lauren replied going quiet for a moment.
"Did you arrest Kohn?" she asked, "Yea, we arrested him this morning. He's currently in holding and is heading to Stateville in the morning," Voight replied as Lauren slowly nodded unsure of what to say. "Reid, take as much time as you need to recover. Your spot will still be in Intelligence when you're ready," Voight told her. "Thanks, Serg," Lauren replied with a small smile as Voight ruffled her hair before he left her room.
"Thanks for helping deal with this shit show- Lauren the next time something even remotely starts going sideways like that again don't hesitate to call me," agent Hotchner says sternly. Lauren nodded, "I will," she replied honestly hoping she would have to come to make that call but was comforted in a way that she could.
