Marty woke up to a static sound coming from the television in front of him. He looked around him, seeing he was still lying against the couch that Mike was on. He looked over at the television, which was making static noise as flickering black dots flickered on a white screen.

Who turned the TV on?

Suddenly the TV went black...

What the hell? Marty thought, standing up. The noise had woken up Nellie and Olivia, who came over to see what it was.

"What's all that noise?" Nellie asked groggily.

Suddenly, a white face appeared on the screen. It was empty of any normal features... The only thing that stuck out was its glowing blue eyes.

"ATTENTION ALL SURVIVORS IN DESTIN. THIS IS ZERO SPEAKING. IF YOU HAVE MADE IT THIS LONG THAT MEANS YOU HAVE MANAGED TO SURVIVE THE CREATURES. IF YOU WANT TO SURVIVE ANY FURTHER, REPORT TO THE FOLLOWING ADDRESS:" The muffled, ominous voice switched to a more robotic one as it listed the address. "FIFTH STREET. 32125."

Fifth street. 32125. Marty made sure to remember that address. Was this some kind of trap?

"We're saved!" Olivia exclaimed.

"I don't think so," Marty muttered, staring as the television turned itself off.

"Maybe this Zero person is here to save us!" Nellie suggested.

Marty shook his head. "I have a really bad feeling about this. This definitely sounds like a trap. This is the man the cultists were worshiping, remember? They said he released the zombies into the world in the first place."

"Marty, we've been in this shitty situation for six days now. We've all lost people to those zombies and we've barely managed to survive! I'd rather risk it to go see what he has to say than get torn apart by zombies!" Olivia explained.

Nellie looked between her and Marty. "I agree with Marty... I think we should consider all our options before rushing into what could be a trap."

"The zombies have set traps before. Maybe this Zero guy is somehow controlling them through some kind of... hive mind thing." He wondered if that was the case.

Mike began to stir, groaning.

"What happened to him?" Olivia asked, walking over to Mike effectively ending the conversation.

"He got hammered last night. I stayed with him so he wouldn't asphyxiate on his own vomit."

Olivia rubbed his leg. "Mike? Mike! Can you hear me?" She looked over at Marty. "Why would you let him do that?"

"Me? I found him like that."

"God, Mike," Olivia whispered. She turned to face Marty and Nellie. "We can't keep going on like this. You guys are just kids!" She buried her face in her hands. "You shouldn't be going through all this..."

"It's okay, Olivia," Nellie replied. "None of us asked for this. There's nothing any of us could've done."

She stood up. "I'm the adult here. I'm 24 years old, all of you are 16! You're kids!" She began walking to the door. "I'm gonna go see what the Zero guy can do." She began muttering the address under her breath, trying to memorize it.

Marty and Nellie looked at each over before chasing after her.

Olivia opened the door but Marty forced it close with his hand. "You can't go out there alone!"

"I don't need you to protect me, Marty! I can handle myself!" She tried opening the door but Marty forced it closed again. She then tried once more, but he wasn't budging. "Will you cut that out!"
