Elizabeth's pov

I woke up to the sound of a slam, followed by multiple people making shushing noises.

"God, Aaron, you're gonna wake them up," Corey hissed, his voice not quite a whisper due to the aggressiveness it contained.

"I'm sorry!" Aaron apologized before mumbling, "They should have slept upstairs like everyone else,"

"They probably didn't mean to sleep down here," Devyn explained in a hushed tone, "But at least they've made up,"

"They were fighting?" Aaron asked, "Again?" followed by Corey's "About what?"

"Nothing," Devyn said, her footsteps approaching the living room, "They're still asleep. That was close, Aaron. I'm surprised you didn't wake up Liz,"

"Is she a light sleeper?" Aaron asked.

"I would think so," She assumed, "When I would check on her, she'd wake up as soon as I opened the door,"

I was confused as to why she was checking on me, then I remembered the water incident.

My thighs still had little red lines on them, but the swelling was long gone.

I opened my eyes, squinting against the sunlight that was coming in through the window-filled room.

I picked myself up with my arms, sliding my body up from his chest and moving close enough for me to rest my head in the crook of Colby's neck.

His breathing was still slow and even, signaling that he was still asleep.

My fingers lazily found the collar of Colby's hoodie, grabbing onto it and wrapping my fingers around the section of it I had.

I dozed off once again, listening to Devyn and Corey's quiet conversation and letting it enter my sleep land.

"So, when are you going to start packing for Australia?" Devyn asked, and surprise made my eyes pop back open.

He was going to Australia? I didn't know they got out much, let alone to a whole different continent and country.

"Probably this weekend. I'll have to talk to Elton about who's car we're taking to the airport," Corey informed, "Hopefully Liz will get on Colby's ass so he isn't packing last minute like last time,"

"Didn't he make you guys miss the flight because he didn't pack?" Aaron asked with a chuckle.

"No, but we were really close to it," Corey sighed, "And we'll be back right after Halloween I believe,"

I felt Colby's hand trail up my forearm, probably looking for what was holding onto his hoodie.

His fingers laced through mine, his palm on the back of my hand. Colby deeply inhaled, turning his head just enough to kiss my forehead.

"I didn't know you were going to Australia," I mumbled, causing Colby to hum.

"What?" He asked, and I felt where his arm was become cold as he wiped his eyes.

"Australia," I repeated, my voice as slurred as the last time I said anything.

"Oh, we're leaving in like a week. But I'll be back," He said quietly, his morning voice seeming to tickle my heart.

"Oh," I muttered, trying to stay in the sleepy haze that I was slowly losing.

Silently, I begged that Colby wanted the same. And he did, for the most part.

But he was awake, on his phone and talking back and forth with everyone in the kitchen.

Sleep wouldn't let me move, and I didn't want to.
