The rest of our journey was uneventful compared to earlier today. I had never seen the Lugia so much as raise an eyebrow at me before, despite her usual reaction towards humans. I had to keep reminding myself how stupid I was for even thinking she might attack me. I mean, she's just some kind of animal. Nothing special. So how did I expect that the sight of some random guy in a hoodie was going to change her mind about attacking me? I guess that's one way of looking at it.

Regardless, it was quite clear to me that she wanted to come with me, so it was hard not to be excited about that. Even if it didn't seem real that she'd be coming along with me. She'd barely spoken a word all day after what happened yesterday. It was strange, I couldn't really blame her. She looked so scared and I feel like I should apologize for scaring her. I mean, I was pretty scared too. I've never seen a Shadow Lugia before, and I've only heard stories about them. I've always assumed that they were just myths, but now I'm starting to wonder if they're real. Maybe those stories that people told kids weren't true. If the legends are true then... What am I saying? They must have been real or else how could such a creature appear at a mountain?

I sighed heavily as I walked back in the forest, hoping that I could find Yuruno somewhere around here so we could start walking over to Violet City.
Just as I thought, I noticed Yuruno laying on the top of a large tree, resting.

"Hey, Josh! How are you holding up?" He called.

"Huh? Yeah, I'm doing just fine. Why wouldn't i be?"

"Well... You've been awfully jumpy lately. Is everything alright?"

"Yeah, yeah. Everything's fine. There's just a lot on my mind."

"Mhm. Well whatever it is, i hope you're able to sort it out soon. Just remember that you can always talk to me if you ever need to."

"Thanks, Yuruno."

He nodded and hopped off of the tree. "Alright, let's get going."

"Right."

The City looked suprisingly calm. A few houses that stood near the edge of the city stood out brightly against the dull gray color of the city, making me smile at the beauty they displayed. In contrast, the area that Yuruno and I were walking in was rather desolate and bleak. Everything looked almost greyish in colour and it was obvious that there wasn't anybody in the vicinity. That's understandable considering the fact that it was already 3 pm. As expected, there were two Trainers around the area who gave us a suspicious glance.
I walked beside Yuruno and asked what he wanted to do first.

"Feeling hungry?"

"Yeah, a little bit..." He replied.

I was honestly quite hungry after everything that happened that morning myself, but I was also curious what kind of food Yuruno had in his bag. Wait, he had a bag with him the entire time we were traveling? Huh. Guess he has a habit of carrying things with him.

We stopped for a quick lunch in a park nearby the city. The sky was starting to turn red, indicating that it was almost evening. Yuruno sat on a log, and I sat beside him as the both of us ate our snack.

"Something feels off... The day went too fast." I said.

"Well, I guess that explains why everyone seems so exhausted after fighting those Pókemon earlier." Yuruno remarked.

I nodded in response. My thoughts drifted back to yesterday when we encountered Eclipse and decided to escape the cave.

"But somehow, it felt like the Gyarados never existed. Like they were just hallucinations," Yuruno continued. "But I don't think we should worry about that too hard. What about the gym battle? That's why we came here, right?"
