It's been a couple days since Haerin and I's date. The whole date was amazing and I wish it never ended. Well...besides the part when Niki called and decided to ruin the vibe. I haven't seen her since then, but we did text the whole weekend. Most of the texting was her reassuring me that she didn't feel anything for Niki and that her hanging out with him was more of an obligation to appease her father. I understand that I really do, but just because Haerin doesn't feel anything for Niki doesn't mean that he doesn't feel anything for her. I know he does, not just because Jake told me, but the way he looks at her. I mean I can't really blame him. Haerin is amazing, but she's mine. He can't have her, I won't let him.
"Well hello there grumpy what's got you in a mood?" Hanni reaches over and quite literally turns my frown upside down. She snickers when I swat her hand away from my face as I grab my books out of my locker.
"I'm not in a mood." The shorter girl just raises one eyebrow at me questioning me without saying anything.
"Whatever you say. I would think you'd be in a great mood after that date. I mean it was all you talked about when Dani and I slept over." I roll my eyes and walk past Hanni who jogs up to me trying to catch up. As we were walking to our first class in comfortable silence I saw Haerin and Niki talking.
"Jesus christ why does it have to be in my face it's bad enough I know they hang out." Hanni laughs loudly. I have never heard laughter as loud as this. I turn towards the Vietnamese girl giving her an odd look. "What the hell is wrong with you?"
"They are literally just speaking to each other. Is Haerin not allowed to talk to anyone else but you?" We continue on our way passing them and enter our first period class.
"Not him. She can talk to anyone, but him." Hanni sighs as she sits next to me.
"You don't get to decide that Min. You're gonna have to get used to this or move on." She's unfortunately right. It's this or nothing for now.

"Can we talk for a minute?" I was walking by myself in the hallway trying to meet Hanni and Danielle for lunch when Jake stopped me. I haven't spoken to him since the dance. He also hasn't really bothered me as of late he must've been busy.
"Yeah sure what's up?" We walk to sit on one of the benches in the hallway. He looks really nervous right now by the way he is picking at the skin on his fingernails.
"Minji I've given you a bit to get over whatever you have going on with Haerin, but it's not right."
"I'm sorry? What are you talking about?" Jake finally looks up and looks straight in my eye with bitterness behind his eyes.
"Look, I know you like her. I see the way you look at her. Do you think I was dumb and didn't know what was going on. I thought you would get over whatever you have going on with her, but clearly that isn't going to happen." I have never felt angrier than at this moment. Why is he saying all of this?
"I would be very careful of what you decide to say next." I give him a death glare and stand up leaving him seated looking just as angry.
"Minji you know if this gets out it will ruin your reputation. There is no way that Haerin is going to be with you forreal. Do you know who she is? Her father would probably have you executed if he found out. She is going to marry Niki, you need to get that in your head." Jake stands up and gets close, glaring at me.
"You don't know me. You don't know her. Jake go away before I do something I regret." Jake just laughs in a way that sounds like he is mocking me.
"I know you Minji, you'll get over this little obsession you have with her and come back to me. You always do." Oh my fucking god. He has to be kidding me?
