Chapter 14 Boars and Sacrifices

"Are you okay?" Katya asks getting on her knees beside his head. She stoked his face softly as her eyes wondered his whole body to make sure he sustained no injury. Apollyon laughed cockily, "of course, what have i told you" he asks staring up into her eyes. Katya smiles as she says, "nothing can kill you". Apollyon coughed, turning his head to the side, away from Katya as he coughs up blood. Aboddon smiled wickedly as he stood up and stalked towards them, this was his chance now that Apollyon was so weak.
"Stop! don't come any closer" Katya commanded, holding her hand towards him. Aboddon's muscles tensed up as he becomes glued in place. Looking down at himself he feels betrayed, 'why are you listening to her when Apollyon was the one who has control?" Aboddon wonders as he looks up to see Katya helping Apollyon to the cabin.

For the rest of the day Katya stayed by Apollyon's side, only leaving it to bring him different soups.
"I am fine truly" Apollyon says sitting up in bed but the groan that came from him convinced her that he was lying.
"You shouldn't get up your still unwell" Katya says worried.
"Fine but only if you go outside, you have been here for days. I know your dying to go hunting" Apollyon said laying back down.
"What if you need something?"
"I will be fine for a few hours" Apollyon said trying to reassure her, she wasn't convinced.
"Aboddon!" Apollyon called and in seconds he was in the room.
"Go with Katya hunting, make sure no harm befalls her" Apollyon commanded. Every muscle in Aboddon's body tensed and he bowed, "yes sir"
Katya looked between the two suspiciously, ever since they had that fight.
"Go" Apollyon said snapping Katya out of her thoughts.
"Fine" Katya agreed after much hesitation.
Aboddon nodded toward Apollyon and followed Katya out of the house.

Katya stalked through the woods, hiding behind trees and bushes while Aboddon walked noisily through the forest not caring to be sneaky. Katya turned to him and looked at him angrily, "goddess, you are just as bad as your cousin" she spat at him. Aboddon rolled his eyes but before he could reply Katya put her arm out to stop him. "Look!" She whispered as she spotted a mother boar with two babies. 'They would be a perfect addition to the farm!' Katya thought excitedly as she grabbed a rock. Throwing it as hard as she could it landed and caught the mother's attention. The mother boar took off charging in the opposite direction of them, Katya took this opening to go grab the two babies. The little boars squealed in her arms.
"Run!" Katya told Aboddon as she ran past him but Aboddon stood their watching her with a confused look on his face.
"Why?" Aboddon tried to say but was interrupted by the mother boar ramming into his legs flipping him backwards as his feet flew in the air.
"You little shit!" Aboddon yelled as he got up and faced the mother boar as she started her second charge. Aboddon's fist were set aflame as side stepped the boar and punched it's head. He hit the boar so hard that his fist went right through the boars skull.
"Guess we are having boar for supper" Aboddon said with a shrug of his shoulders as he picked up the boars body and brought it with him back to the homestead.

Once Apollyon was sure that Katya and Aboddon were gone he jumped out of bed and put his armor on. There was only one thing that would make him feel better and he couldn't let Katya see what it was.
Apollyon walked to a nearby camp and grabbed a human without being seen. He dragged the human behind the cabin and started slicing symbols into his skin, the screams were loud but Apollyon just hoped that Katya was far enough away. He tied a rope around the human's legs and lifted him upside down on a tree branch. Placing a bowl under the human's head Apollyon started sharpening his knife.
"Please don't kill me, I'll do anything you ask just please let me go back to my family" the human begged which only made Apollyon laugh.
"What is it with human's fearing death? You are like insects crawling around thinking you have some higher purpose, that the world cannot go on without you. You fool, this is your purpose" Apollyon said evilly as he stepped closer to the human.
"No! Please! Have mercy!" The human begged.
"This is your mercy human, I will kill you quickly" Apollyon said before slicing the mans throat.
"Apollyon!" Katya gasped as she turned the corner around the cabin to see him.
"Katya! No wait, I can explain!" Apollyon tried to say but it was to late, she was already gone.
