Apollyon stood throwing daggers into a tree as Katya packed different herbs and spices into her pouch, getting ready for whatever the day would bring.
"You can't keep running around with that damn bow, your going to get yourself killed" Apollyon said not taking his eyes off the tree. Katya huffed and crossed her arms over her chest, "what are you talking about?" She asked annoyed that he would even doubt her bow skills.
"Go grab it" he said turning to look at her. Katya narrowed her eyes at him but reluctantly got up and grabbed her bow. Apollyon unsheathed his sword and took a defensive pose, "attack me" he said with a cocky smile. Hurting him was the last thing Katya wanted to do but she also wanted to wipe that stupid smirk off his face. She fired an arrow aimed at his heart and he deflected it with his blade easily, "that all you got?". Katya growled and shot multiple arrows at him as she ran circles around him but he deflected each arrow. Angrily Katya tossed her bow to the ground and grabbed the daggers that were always attached to her hips and jumped at him. Each slash with her daggers were met with the hardened steel of his sword, his laughter only pushed her to strike harder and faster each time. The blade of her dagger barely cut his arm, after multiple attempts which earn Katya a hardened look as Apollyon stopped going easy on her. He swung and went after her, she tried deflecting each hit but every time he hit her small blades it forced her to take a step back until her back hit a tree. The cold, emotionless look in Apollyon's eyes scared her as he thrusted his sword at her face, she screamed and covered her face with her hands. The sword was stuck into the tree mere inches from her head. Putting her hands down she looked at the sword beside her head then up into Apollyon's eyes. He moved his face so it was inches away from hers, she could feel his hot breathe across her face as his lifeless eyes stared into hers. Katya's heart sped up and her breathing became ragged from the fear she held for him at this moment. "If this were the real world you would have been dead in seconds" his voice was deep and almost sounded like a growl when he whispered those words to her. Apollyon could see the fear behind Katya's eyes and it snapped him out of whatever trance he had been in. Blinking a few times he leaned away from her and took a step back, he knew he had scared her, he could see the tears that pooled in her eyes threatening to spill at any second. Putting his hand over his mouth in embarrassment he whispered, "I.. I'm sorry" before turning away from her.

Katya slid down the trunk of the tree until she was sitting down, she knew he was a terrifying demon but seeing it up close and personal was a different story. Many times she had seen him kill things without a second thought but when that killer attitude was turned on her every bone in her body screamed at her to run as far as she could. Apollyon turned and kneeled down in front of her after a few calming breathes, "Katya.." his voice was soft and gentle but when he reached out to her she flinched away from his hand. Upon seeing her reaction he jerked his hand away from her, knowing the damage he had just done. Without another word he stood up and walked away from her, the only thing he knew how to do. "Apollyon!" Katya called out to him but he ignored her, his anger had once again got the better of him and he couldn't scare Katya again.
"Please don't leave me again" Katya begged but it was to late, he was already gone. "Not again.. Not Again!" Katya said angrily as she stood up, guilt pooling inside her as she felt she had once again messed things up. This time she would not wait around fir him, this time she was going to follow him. She descended down the mountain and went in the direction he had headed. A scream came from her left and she went directly to it fearing the worst. Pushing past bushes and tree branches she finally came to a small clearing where Apollyon was crouched on his hands and knees in pain, massive black wings came from his back, horns on his head. Instantly she got flashbacks of what she had assumed was a dream but seeing him like this she knew she had not dreamed seeing him that night she had fallen asleep outside.

"Apollyon.." Katya's voice was soft as she called out to him. Apollyon looked over at her then instantly used his wings to cover himself, "Do not look at me! I am a monster" he cried out as his skin burned off revealing his inner demon.
"I am not afraid of you" Katya said taking a step closer to him. Apollyon stood up and faced her, showing his true self. Eyes burning bright orange as he looked at her. She stopped for a second but smiled up at him, "you forget I am not human either". Katya reached up and motioned to her own horns that sat on her head, "and you have not judged me on them". Apollyon growled and averted his eyes from her, "It is not the same, you are a nymph. You are a creature that is light and pure, i am pure evil".
Katya laughed, "I am not good, I have killed many humans and many who have dared try to pick a fight with my clan.. Well i used to" she says looking sad, thinking about the one time she could not protect her people. Apollyon could see the distress on her face as he walked over to her, "that is not your fault" he says grabbing her face gently and lifting her face to look at his. "There is no way you could have saved them" his voice was soft as he watched a stray tear fall from her eye, he used his thumb to wipe it off her cheek. "It's fine" Katya said taking a step back away from him and wiping her own face with her arm. "Let's go home" Apollyon said smiling at her to which Katya nodded happily, finally cracking a smile.
