Ferris Wheel

Mainly a Yoriichi x reader, but it has some Michikatsu romance because I'm a sucker for that hottie.

Also can you believe Koyuki was only 16 and Kotoha was 17 when they died?

Being one of the few "otherwordly" doctors- as the townsfolk likes to call it- had its obvious benefits and downfalls.

For one, you have a lovely little stall that sits perfectly between two merchants' stalls in a major port city. You could live a calm life, gathering all sorts of natural ingredients for different potions and cures with no ill intention, after all, who would want to harm a herbalist?

One of your hobbies were collecting all sorts of magical plants, whether it be twisted magnolias or ashed cucumber flowers. You knew practically every herb and what it could do when mixed with other substances.

A downfall, of course, was that being a herbalist is not a common career, so being one subconsciously attracts tourism and just people in general.

You didn't mind though. It was good for your stall and good for marketting.

You were a very dilligent worker and always did what was best in benefit for you, although sometimes you had to break character and slack off. Even if that meant gossiping behind the church with tea- that you made- meant to calm your stress healthily with all the other girls and mothers every so often.

Today just so happened to be one of those days that you secretly loved to attend, so as soon as the sun rose and greeted a welcoming hello, you got dressed and organized your ingredients in a picnic basket.

You arrived at the back of your church when the sun was well onto it's course of the day, and you were glad to see you weren't the only one there.

"Good morning, Kotoha!" You went over, placing your basket near the fire pit and gave her a warm hug.

You felt her laugh as she hugged you back, "Hello to you too, y/n! Did you sleep well?"

You nodded as you started the fire and began to boil water. "I slept just fine, what about you?"

She took your basket and started unloading the materials in it, "I slept alright, not the best unfortunately."

"How's Douma and Inosuke?" You ripped some rainbow tea leaves that you self bred in your garden.

She started harvesting the Vanilla pollen, "Both of them are fine-" She chuckled at the thought of them, "That man cannot hold his alchohol! Yesterday, he drank 2 shots of Gemine and he started pouring his heart out to me and Ino"

You smiled alongside with her, "Aw, that's so sweet! What'd he say?"

"Yknow, the usual things men would say when they want something from you." She cleared her throat, "My dear Kotoha, you know I can't survive without you. You are the sun in my earth, the apple of my eyes, I love you so very much-" She stopped trying to imitate him after she started laughing uncontrollably. "It was cheesy, but cute."

"Did you give in to him though?"

She shrugged, "Maybe."

Slowly the other ladies came in, thankfully you and Kotoha were almost done, all you needed were mugs to pour the tea into. "Where's Koyuki?"

"Oh, right, I forgot to tell you- she'll be late- she got carried away when she heard something in the crowmasters stall." Kotoha sat down on one of the benches.

As if on cue, Koyuki came running in, "Dearest apologies, but I'm here!" She held out all the cups and other dishware. "And I must tell you what I heard-"
