*THIRD PERSON*
Cade let's Stella fall to the floor and the room is left with an eerie silence as Stella's screams abruptly stop.
"I'll need to give her a few hours before testing. We won't know how long it will take for her brain to process all of those memories." Cade says, lifting her up.
Kai's heart sinks to his stomach. "Her memories? Why would you give her memories back?" He asks.
"Katherine convinced me." Cade smiles, setting Stella down in her cell and then locking it.
Kai glances over at Katherines cell and she smirks.
The next time she wakes up, she may not love me anymore, Kai thinks.
"Malachai. Your turn." Cade says as his cell opens.
Kai walks out, staring at the floor blankly. He's not focused on anything except Stella right now.
He walks with Cade to the other room, trying to hold back tears.
"First round is self-defense. Let's see those witch powers I've been waiting to take a look at."
"I don't have any." Kai says.
"What?" Cade laughs, but Kai keeps a straight face. Cade turned serious. "What are you talking about? You're a hybrid."
"Yeah but I'm a siphoner. I thought you knew. I don't have magic unless I siphon from something first."
Cade licks his teeth. "I don't think you need to test."
"What?" Kai asks, surprised. "Why?"
"You just told me you don't even have your own magic. I know you're a young vampire too. I already made my decision."
"No— no you were supposed to take me."
"I'm sorry, why would you want me to choose you?" Cade asks.
"I'll die before you take Stella."
Cade chuckles. "I see."
"Just let me siphon. Or at least let me try."
"No. I told you I have made my decision. So don't fight me."
Cade starts to walk out. "Let's go."
Kai walks with him and shamefully struts back into his cell.
"I'll be back tomorrow. Tomorrow I'll test Stella in round one, and then everyone on round two. Get a good nights sleep now." He laughs, walking out of sight.
"You didn't test." Klaus says, staring at Kai.
"What?" Kai says, looking away from Stella to Klaus.
"You don't have a scratch on you."
"Oh my god, Cade looked at you once and already made his decision. You're too weak for him, hm?" Katherine asks, smiling.
"Shut up. Look what you did to Stella." Kai glares at Katherine.
"Hey, it's all part of the plan. Sorry she won't love you anymore."
"She won't be able to do good on the tests now. She's going to need time to process everything and she'll do bad..." As Kai says the words, he connects the dots.
Katherine laughs. "Do you get it now. I'm smart, aren't I?
"You want her to do bad." Kai thinks out loud.
"Bingo!" Katherine shouts.
"That way Cade won't choose her."
"There you go. Putting all the pieces together."
