"Come, Natsu." Lisanna orders. My body moving on its own, I step forward off the edge of the boat. Before I am met with the chilling water's icy caress, a pair of arms pull me back onto the boat. Losing my balance, I fall back onto the deck with Lucy landing on top of me.
"Natsu, listen to me." Lucy says, her voice ringing sweetly like honey.
"No, Natsu! Listen to me!" Lisanna yells. I turn to look at her but Lucy, placing both hands on my face while she straddles me, brings my face back to look into her glittering eyes.
"My heart is pierced by Cupid. I disdain all glittering gold. There is nothing can console me but my jolly sailor bold." Lucy sings. Her buttery voice seeps comfortingly into my ears, drowning out all of Lisanna's orders and shouts.
Leaning down gently, Lucy's lips softly press against mine. All at once the world around me fades away, the only thing remaining is Lucy and I in this moment we share together. Any thought of Lisanna is long forgotten as I break away from her hold and kiss Lucy back.
My arms wrap around her waist, bringing her in closer as she deepens the kiss. Her fingers move to my hair, tangling in its wind blown mess. My hands dance up and down her back, stroking her curves as an eternity seems to pass. Slowly, we part, our faces hovering centimeters away from each other. "Lucy." I say, my voice barely above a whisper.
"Don't forget about me!" Lisanna yells. "Natsu-." Before she can finish, the sky and sea grows gray and stormy as a flash of lightning strikes. Around the boat the waves triple in size, somehow leaving the boat alone as if an invisible force field is protecting it as the sea's watery hands crash down on Lisanna. She lets out one final scream before the foaming water crashes down on her, sweeping her away and out of sight.
Lucy looks down at me with a warm smile and I quickly capture her lips with mine, unable to hold back. Sitting up, I position Lucy on my lap, my arms wrapping tightly around her.
"Umm..." A little voice coughs. Lucy and I part, blushing violently as we notice Wendy watching. Lucy quickly jumps off of me, brushing her dress off in the process.
"Sorry, Wendy." I say, my hand awkwardly scratching the back of my head as I rise to my feet. "Let's go home."
As I steer the sailboat back in the direction of my homeland, my mind races back through the events that brought me to this point. For the longest time I longed for love. I searched the world and finally found it where I would never have expected.
I was so determined in my fantasies of love that I even ran away from home in order to find it. It was a reckless endeavor but in the end it has proven to be successful and completely worth it. And now after endless days at sea, I am ready to return back to my kingdom and settle with Lucy (and Wendy).
Walking up beside me, Lucy presses her lips against mine in a tender kiss. "Thank you, Natsu." She says.
"I should be the one thanking you." I say.
"But if it weren't for you, none of this would've happened. You saved me, trusted me and you're giving me a whole new life I never could even dream of if it weren't for you."
Pressing my lips against hers, I can't help but smile through the kiss. We part after several seconds and I press my forehead against hers. "Anything for you, Princess."
"They like each other~." A playful voice says in a sing-song voice. All of our eyes grow wide as we all stare at the blue cat in shock.
"Happy??!!!">{~The End~}<
