"I hope you didn't think you could get away that easily." A sudden voice says behind us. Quickly, we all turn around to see a familiar siren. "What! How are you here?" Lucy yells.
"Aww, Lucy, did you forget? You're not the only one with special singing powers. My voice can enchant anyone into doing my bidding, even myself. I just had to hum a little song and tell myself not to fall asleep." She explains while shrugging her shoulders as if it isn't much of a big deal.
"You can't stop us all by yourself. There's three of us and only one of you!" Wendy says.
"Yes, but in your new human state, you've lost your powers and Lucy's powers won't work on me." Lisanna says.
"You're forgetting about Natsu!" Wendy says.
"Am I? Because last I checked, Natsu is in love with me!" She says with a wide smile.
"What would make you think that?" Lucy asks- or more accurately, yells.
Instead of answering, Lisanna simply smirks. A low hum bubbles up out of her throat, morphing into a sweet, hypnotic song.
"Natsu! Cover your ears!" Lucy calls to me but is too late. My body moves on it's own, turning the sailboat back the way we came. I try to stop myself, I try to yell to Lucy and Wendy but I can't control my body or will myself to do anything. I can only watch as my body acts against my command and betrays Lucy.
"Natsu! Don't listen to her!" Wendy yells.
"There's no use, Wendy." Lucy says.
"But we have to do something!" Wendy calms down when she sees the calm, determined look on Lucy's face. In one swift moment, Lucy dives into the ocean, grabbing Lisanna and pulling her down.
"Lucy!" Wendy yells. The water is calm and I can't tell what is going on but all I know is that there's no way Lucy stands a chance against Lisanna without her tail. But I have to trust that she has a plan.
Wendy and Happy sprint to the side of the boat, looking into the water below. Suddenly a giant splash erupts and Lisanna emerges from the water, laughing wickedly.
"Where's Lucy?!" Wendy shouts.
A smirk widens across Lisanna's lips. "She couldn't stand a chance against me!" She triumphs. Wendy gasps. "Now, bring the boat back to the island." Lisanna orders me. Something inside of me pulls at my heart, but I, without any choice, ignore it and lead the boat back to the island.
