Recovery (Part Two)

When I was a kid, I always wondered if God had a plan for his children to follow. To obey without question, now I wonder what's God's plan for me, to stay on earth until I fulfill it or join him like my Father and Brother before me.

In the command center, the rangers are gathered around the central computer with the image of Zedd's staff "Sir, why are we guarding an old artifact?" asked Jack.

"It's not just an old artifact cadet," said Cruger "It's the staff of the evilest person in history."

Cruger presses a button on the console and an image of Lord Zedd appears "Ugh, that guy is uglier than Gruumm," said Syd in disgust.

"Lord Zedd, he was the fiercest opponent that the original rangers faced," said Cruger.

"What made him so formidable," asked Z.

"He was most recognized by his Z-shape staff," said Cruger, "We think that his daughter Evelyn Bandora is planning to steal his staff and try to merge it with her mother's staff."

"But that means she'll be more powerful than Gruumm," said Bridge.

Cruger nods "That's why we're helping Metro Police to guard Zedd's staff. Cadet Landors and Cadet Tate will take the first shift," said the Commander as everyone saluted him.

Soon after the rangers left the command center, Sky went to the infirmary to check on Leo before he headed to the museum with Jack. When Sky arrived at the infirmary, he saw that people left flowers and get well soon cards on Leo's nightstand that was next to his hospital bed. Sky walked up to his brother's bed and grabbed one of the cards that a young cadet wrote to Leo. Sky smiled at how many people Leo had helped when he wasn't on the job.

"I thought that you were with Jack," said Kat as she walked into the infirmary.

"I just stopped by to check on Leo," Sky said as he put the card back down on the nightstand "See you later, bro."

After Sky walked out of the infirmary, Kat went up to Leo's vital monitor to see that everything is okay. While Kat was checking Leo's vitals, one of the cards fell off the nightstand.

I hope you get well soon because you're the only person who doesn't treat me differently and the only person I look up to as an older brother in my life.

At the Newtech Museum, Jack and Sky were guarding Zedd's staff "It looks more intimidating up close," said Jack as he steps in front of the glass casing.

"We have two Metro Police in the front and back of the museum. So if Bandora tries to steal her father's staff we'll know about it," said Sky.

"Come on, Sky, we're guarding one of the most powerful weapons in our time," said Jack as he walked up to his second in command "Don't tell me that you're not at least a bit excited,"

"There is nothing exciting about this Jack," said Sky "That staff caused many people suffering, and for once I'm happy that he's destroyed."

"You don't mean that Sky," Jack said as he sat next to him.

"Yes I do"

"No, you don't, that's just your emotions talking," Jack said turning to face Sky "I know that I'm the least qualified person to tell you this but you need therapy."

"I don't need therapy," said Sky.

"Seriously, Sky, you're letting your emotions cloud your actions. If you continue like this I'm forced to remove you from the team," said Jack.
