Recovery (Part Three)

Pu'U Maka' Ala Natural Area Reserve, Hawaii, USA

A group of college students from Angel Grove University's archaeological program was visiting a dig site that is being overseen by one of their professors "Ok, everyone please stay together and don't disturb any of the archaeologists that are working here," said the professor.

"Um...Professor Navarro, when will we meet Dr.O?" asked one of the students.

"You see Mr.Park, Dr.Oliver is currently busy right now," said Professor Navarro as she points to a man who was digging in one of the sites "Dr.Oliver!" yelled Professor Navarro.

"Hmm...oh Valerie nice to see you and I see you brought the students with you," said Dr.O as he climbed out of the dig site.

"As you requested Dr.O," said Valerie.

"Thanks, welcome everybody to dig site A, one of our biggest archaeological sites in the US," Dr.O said as a student raised their hand "Yes Miss..."

"Victoria Copper sir," said Victoria.

"Well, Miss Cooper, what's your question?" asked Dr.O "Well, aren't you a paleontologist? It's a bite odd to see you here," asked Victoria.

Dr.O just smiles "Yes, I'm a paleontologist but I also studied archeology when I was at AGU. Does that answer your question?" he asked, Victoria nodded her head as Dr.O began to talk about the site "Ok, this site behind me is one of the newer sites that we discover in site A. It contains what we believe to be an old house that belonged to a war chief who..." but before Dr.O could finish his sentence one of the archaeologists called him over.

"Dr.Oliver! We found something!" they yelled as he walked to them with the group of students right behind him "Max, what did you find?" he asked, the young-looking man who looks like who just graduated college "I don't know Dr.O it looks ancient but it doesn't look like anything we found earlier," Max said as he hands Dr.O a what appears to look like a dagger "Max can pass me the brush?" asked Dr.Oliver.

Max hands him the bush as Dr.O begins to brush off the dirt that was covering the dagger "Oh..my...god," Dr.O said, dropping the brush "What is it Dr.O?" asked one of the students.

Dr.O didn't answer their question as he stared at the dagger with a mix of confusion and shock.

Newtech City, California, USA

Two weeks later

It was a normal day for Lewis and Miguel as they were relaxing in their lab. "Hey, Miguel, did you see my phone," Lewis asked, searching for his phone. "No, I didn't," Miguel said from his side of the lab, "Did you check next to your computer?"

"I did and it's not there," said Lewis as he continued searching for his phone

"Are you sure," Miguel said, turning around from his desk "I said, I did!" Lewis snaps.

"What would you give me if I find it?" asked Miguel.

"I don't know, fifty bucks," Lewis said lazily as he saw Miguel stand up from his chair and walk towards him "You should keep your stuff somewhere safe," Miguel said as he handed Lewis his phone "And also one of our old professors is waiting for us on Zoom."

Lewis looked confused as he clicked a button on his computer, as Dr.O appeared on the screen with Haley "Dr.O long time no see," said Lewis.

"Sorry, Lewis but there's no time to catch up. We need your help and Miguel's," Dr.O said in a serious tone.

Both SPD engineers looked at each other before turning back to Dr.O "How can we help," said Miguel.

"One of our archaeologists found this earlier today," Dr.O said, pulling up the image of the dagger both Lewis and Miguel looked shocked as they both stared at the image on the screen "Is that what I think it is," Lewis said in shock.
