ShineSwift is just about the most energetic and the crazy. Probably also a little bit way too bright, luminescent feathers and sun yellow eyes. Her favorite thing to do is probably just annoying JaggedNight and DarkHalo, since she is light and they are shadows. ShineSwift loves it when they get so dark about it. She doesn't do that to SkyWind, StarFire, FlameClaw, or SunSky.

SunSky

That dragon shivered every time she saw ShineSwift. And pretty much all the time.

At least I'm not her, ShineSwift thought as she half flew and half ran into her cave.

It, as always, is covered by her feathers, which glow so bright that you have to wear something to prevent yourself going blind from the light. It also makes good bedding, with the plus side that Shadow dragons hate to be inside.

ShineSwift started to her bed, then hesitated. The day has been boring enough, so wouldn't just going to bed be more boring?

Maybe I should just get a swim. Chill off for a bit.

She scrambled out of her room, said hi to AngelWing's two heads, leapt from DarkHalo's head and back, and down she shot, right into the lake with three rivers and a waterfall leading to it.

Splosh!

As she swam beneath the surface, schools of fish were swimming past. Her mind started daydreaming again.

She found a rock and burned out a hole. After filling it with water, she quickly glided back to the cave entrance. As she flew over the meadow, her mind wandered to SunSky, like it always did when she is free from the troubles of shadows.

Maybe there's a reason why she's so nervous.

But if that's true. . .

What does she have to be afraid of?

As she flew back to the mountain in which she and the other dragons lived, she spotted SkyWind and StarFire playing near the meadows. They were tempering with something that was glowing. SunSky.

Should I. . .

ShineSwift dove for the meadows in which the three dragons were playing. The water in her rock bowl splashed about as she came in for a landing.

"Hi, ShineShift !" SkyWing managed to yelp out. "Can you get SunSky off my head for a sec?!"

"Sure!" ShineSwift tried to nudge the little dragonet with her wing. SunSky was the smallest and youngest of them all, but that honestly still doesn't make any sense why her reaction was to jump on her head and scrabble about, clawing off some of her feathers.

"By all the primals. . ." StarFire murmured. The primals were a legendary group of dragons, famed to be more powerful than the ancients. "Stop being so jittery!" He pried SunSky off of her head. Her little wings flapped furiously against his claws, and her bright cyan blue eyes were shining like the moon.

"What are you up to?" SkyWind asked.

"Just thinking of a swim," she replied.

"Wow," StarFire replied involuntarily. "While me and BlankEye and SpikeSwipe and FlameClaw and SkyWind are having our scales clawed off by the task of taking care of SunSky, this is what you do?"

"Um. . ."

"Nevermind. You know what, let's get back to the caves,"

SkyWind suggested.

"You're here, aren't you?"

ShineSwift opened her eyes to see a cloudless sky above her. A light wind whispers softly through the water that she was standing on.

Hold on, where am I?

She could sense something was different. The water beneath her wasn't normal. It literally burned with emotion. "Who are you?" ShineSwift replied with uncertainty.

Maybe this is just a dream or a hallucination.

Definitely not real

"You don't need to know who I am. . ."

"Then where am I?"

"You don't need to know anything about that, now that you're here"

ShineSwift stood up. She could see the endless sea stretching from her view. When she looked down, she gasped with shock.

The reflection in the water was surrounded by endless flames.

"That is who I am."

ShineSwift looked back at the reflection. None of it seemed real.

"Wake up!"

She suddenly fell through the crying water into her cave. Four pairs of eyes, one pair blue, two pairs lava red, and the other purple, were staring at her with weird uncertainty. One of the two pairs was AngelWing's and the other was Magma's.

ShineSwift suddenly became drowsy with guilt.

"How long was the sun up?" she asked sheepishly.

"As long as the primal's eggs!" yowled Magma.

"Calm down, you burner," AngelWing retorted.

"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH"

"By the primal's secrets, why does JaggedNight always have to do something that the primals would never allow?"

Magma muttered as he hurried out the door.

"Hey." A sky blue head with gold and black horns poked out the door. The eyes were shining with the bright yellow sands of the desert. "Me and the rest of the dragons except SunSky are having a sky race. Coming?"

"Of course!" ShineSwift swiftly raced past SkyWind and out the cave entrance. There, DarkHalo, JaggedNight, FlameClaw, and StarFire were waiting, with Amoura, flapping their wings against the angry morning wind. ShineSwift quickly dove towards them.

"By all the cyan claws, we've been waiting forever for you," JaggedNight sneered. He fell out of the air as StarFire shot at him with a burst of flame. "Well, at least you didn't almost drown in the lake," DarkHalo suggested. DarkHalo was more preferable than JaggedNight, since he is often not too annoying, but still annoying.

"Hey, are all of you ready?" Amoura did a loop in the air. "Ready, set, go!"

All six dragonets shot off.

"StarFire and SkyWind, hope you lose your tails!" JaggedNight taunted. Just as he finished, he crashed into the ocean with shining ropes that bound him. "Maybe that will teach him!" StarFire called. "Well, I don't think so!" SkyWind roared over the screaming wind.

Well, that's useful.

Suddenly, ShineSwift was swallowed by a seeping water. She tried to scream for help, but water filled her mouth.

Water that was burning.

Where am I?

. . .

"With me"
