SkyWind jittered nervously as she walked with the other dragons. From the information that LeafBloom gave them, the LeafReach tribe is falling apart from the constant arguments and fights. Apparently, the LeafReachers have split themselves up to 5 clans: HydraVine, Lileiivy, MistiaOrchid, DialendPetal, and the original LeafReach. Each of them has a different leader now. LeafBloom is a HydraVine.
"The HydraVines belong to the Hydnorum forest, the Lileiivy belong to the Leilanie forest, the MistiaOrchids belong to the MiddleMist jungle, the DialendPetals belong to the Iris island, and the original LeafReachers live at the MilkWeed Isle," LeafBloom had explained. "The reason why we are so quiet then and now is because we are warring against ourselves."
Now SkyWind, PoisenStream, EmeraldFlare, and CoralCharge were following the LeafReacher (HyraVine) to the center of the Hydnorum forest, where the new city of Hydra's Claw is being built. LeafBloom already sent a message to the capitol, and apparently they are very welcome to have visitors.
After flying / bumping, crashing, and what not the random items for a day, they arrived at the Hydra's Claw. It was a tree complex, with little houses built with silk of the moths that live around here and the huge Hydra leaves that got the forest its name. HydraVines are all over the place, setting the leaves here or there.
A tall and royal dragon strode into the clearing. It has several streaks of different shades of green, first circling around his eyes, but slowly making its way into the tail. His claws were long, deadly knives tipped with poison. The tail was curled like a chameleon's, and bursts of color decorated its bulb. Its wings were long and beautiful, composed of peacock feathers, with thousands of colors shining through every part. The frills were long, decorated with horns pointing upward, as sharp as the deadliest thorn. A small, emerald crown decorated the head. The HydraVine king took SkyWind's breath away.
Beside her, LeafBloom straightened into a bow. Behind her, the CyaniClaws followed suit. SkyWind also slowly drew into the position.
"What have you brought me, Bloom?" The king's voice was calm, tipped with the spring bloom of flowers and a sundew's deception.
"Some dragons that had accidentally wandered into our forest when escaping MistOrchid forces," LeafBloom straightened up.
"Hmm," The dragon drew himself up and stared at the strangers with an amused look. "In that case, let's properly introduce ourselves, shouldn't we? My name is IxtalCeleste, though you can call me Ixtal."
"My name's SkyWind," SkyWind replied awkwardly. "And these dragons behind here are–"
"CyaniClaws," LeafBloom cut off. Around them, HydraVines started to stare at the conversation that was happening.
Ixtal had an excellent amount of surprise in his eyes. PoisonStream drew herself and hissed, poison in every rattle and every word of her tail and flaring open her hood. CoralCharge flared, throwing her wings out and unsheathing her claws. EmeraldFlare drew up and his eyes narrowed angrily at the surrounding dragons.
"So. . . the famed primals," Ixtal slowly drew in his breath. "In that case. . . follow me." He turned and started to walk away from the Hydra's Claw. LeafBloom exchanged a worried glance with SkyWind, then followed the HydraVine leader. SkyWind hesitated.
Is this a trick? Perhaps. . . Wait.
How did LeafBloom know that PoisenStream, CoralCharge, and EmeraldFlare are Primals?
"Come on!" LeafBloom's yell shook not only the trees, but also shattered SkyWind's train of thoughts. SkyWind quickly ran in the direction of the shout, and the Primals quickly following.
Soon, they arrived at the clearing where an Ixtal stood behind a weird-looking hole. An unusual humming noise came from it. SkyWind took in a breath.
Whatever happens now. . . will happen.
