JaggedNight took a deep breath, and returned to the caves where he and the other dragonets slept. Luckily, all the dragons were asleep, including SunSky, and Amoura, Magma, and AngelWing were fast asleep in their own cave. He let out a sigh of relief.

Hopefully no one noticed me gone.

JaggedNight settled down on the pile of leaves, moss, and whatnot shaped for him. It was relatively comfortable, with just a stick or two poking at him gently. JaggedNight wrapped a bit of his tail over his big, black and navy snout. Suddenly, his stomach growled with hunger.

JaggedNight quietly cursed himself. Hopefully there's still some fruit left. Also, hopefully Magma hadn't counted them.

He slipped silently out of the cave, and after sneaking down several tunnels, arrived at the feeding room. Luckily, the fruits were scattered, which means none of the Guardians had bothered counting. JaggedNight quickly tore apart a dialed fruit, finishing it in a few, famished gulps. He had known to choose the fruits that were the most, so that AngelWing won't notice something missing.

Suddenly, pattering started from the ceiling. It was raining. Merciless rain.

I'd better get back to the caves. JaggedNight thought as he quickly made his way to the entrance. Above him, he could hear Amoura making her way to the top of the mountain, calling ,"JaggedNight!".

The storm, meanwhile, was completely freezing. Lightning shows and thunder songs happened in the dark, gray clouds. JaggedNight flew as fast as he could, which, in normal weather, is pretty darn quick, but the damn wind! He finally made it to the top of the mountain, and tumbled down the tunnel right into Amoura.

JaggedNight and Amoura tumbled all the way to the entrance, where they rolled into the river. The currents were strong, somehow pushing them back into the cave, narrowly missing the lowest hanging stalactite. When they finally stopped, JaggedNight used his back legs to shoot away from the two headed crystal dragon, and unfortunately crashed into the cave ceiling. When JaggedNight could finally stand up (though his legs were still shaking like damn), Amoura was examining her legs with a worried look. Her dark blue and white ankle was put into an awkward position. The crystals were broken at certain points.

Oh, god.

"Damn it!" Amoura tried to stand, but her broken leg gave out.

"Is there something that I can do to help?" JaggedNight asked nervously.

"Nah, I'll find a way eventually."

JaggedNight dragged himself up the tunnels. It was all his fault that this happened! If he didn't go looking for SunSky, if he watched where he was going!

Then he realized that he still had the cyan orb of time. He took a long breath. . . then bounced back up the tunnels as quietly as he could. . . which was saying a lot, since JaggedNight wasn't that agile.

Well, at least I will have a way to fix everything that I did wrong.

In the time of a thousand dawns or a single heartbeat, JaggedNight reached his bed. He looked down at the power in his claws.

Now let's see what I can do with this baby.

He closed his eyes and thought about what happened when Amoura broke her leg. But just as he was about to make the trip, another question popped into his mind.

Why is SunSky this way?

Suddenly, he was transported to a scene of a ghostly gray, cyan, and white dragon. She had long, smooth wings with feathers decorating it.

Another dragon flew into the scene. He had the purple wings of a violet. Faint cyan streaks traced his head all the way to the tip of his tail. The tail itself was a butterfly, with rainbow colors spilling all over it.

The two dragons regarded each other for a long, agonizing moment. Then the ghostly dragon swept an egg into view. It was decorated with dark cracks. Snakes of gray wriggled in and out of existence. There seemed to be fireworks going on inside it as the egg wriggled and flashed random beams of multicolored light.

"It's happening, MyrriCall," the ghostlike dragon whispered. She leaned her head against the shoulder of MyrriCall.

"Of course it's happening, ReiskEye," MyrriCall announced quietly. He paused for a second, considering the egg. The words were out before he could stop it.

"What about River and Wind?"

SunReisk paused, remembering the memories of the two little matching vipers. She had been forced to give it to Chronos so that he could have two new oracles.

"What about it?" ReiskEye murmured nervously.

"Could it be part of the new prophecy?"

That question caught her by surprise. Then again, what are the chances that Chronos left them alone finally after several years of requests?

"P-p-probally. . . "

MyrriCall studied his claws. They were shaking so badly, he swore that he would collapse soon. MyrriCall slowly raises his head to meet ReiskEye's eyes. He knew as well as her that they weren't supposed to meet. ReiskEye is in the SunWing tribe, while he himself was in the MoonClaw clan. The two groups were warring, so it was basically breaking every law that's been held. Probably breaking even more laws, since ReiskEye was the daughter of SunFeather, who is the current leader of the SunFlights, while he, MyrriCall, was the prince of the MoonSlashes.

Suddenly, a portal opened in front of them. ReiskEye opened her jaws to speak, but her words were AngelWing's.

"Wake Up!"
