"Hey." CoralCharge stuck his head through the beams. "Are you two going to come down from these wooden sticks or are you going to be snoozing sloths?"
"Hey!" PoisonStream stuck her head right to CoralCharge's nose. He yelped and fell back down.
SkyWind groggily raised her head to stare at PoisonStream. In her dreams, she had been the orange CyaniClaw. She almost got hit with Solar's body as the cat bounced all over the place.
"Awake already?" PoisonStream stood up on two short legs as she walked over to SkyWind. SkyWind gave a short nod before standing up on all fours and stretching her neck.
"Come on." PoisonStream slipped through the gaps in the beams. SkyWind hesitated for a moment, then followed, grateful for her slim, smooth body.
EmeraldFlare was stuffing himself with all sorts of berries and what not. CoralCharge was picking at a freshly killed and ridiculously large monkey.
While PoisonStream sidled herself out of the doorway (probably to kill a random animal that's larger than a dragon, SkyWind thought grumbly), SkyWind went over to CoralCharge. The reddish orange Primal was tearing at the fresh kill, her scales somehow even redder with blood.
SkyWind paused nervously, wondering if she could even ask such a thing. Well, if the forbidden question worked with PoisonStream, why wouldn't it work with CoralCharge? (Complications are useless, SkyWind thought angrily)
"Hey. . . . " SkyWind hesitated. Would this really work?
"Yeem?" CoralCharge mumbled in a mouthful of meat and what not. She gulped. "Yes?"
"Where did you find PoisonStream?" SkyWind said cautiously. She definitely didn't want whacked in the head with a fiery tail.
CoralCharge paused, shredding the meat with her claws absentmindedly. Her tail flicked like crazy. Her spines ruffled up and down.
"Alright, I'll give you the answer just to stop listening to your very. . .observant thoughts," CoralCharge laughed. "I found PoisonStream at Mountain Chronos, in the cave of the Altar of Lexnor. j'ai compris?"
SkyWind clawed the ground nervously. How could I just hop into other dragon's memories?
"Hey, guys," PoisonStream sidled through the door. "Apparently, the HydraVines have two refugees, and one of them's CyaniClaw."
"What?!" EmeraldFlare shot up, his eyes wide with surprise.
CoralCharge closed his eyes intensely, then they shot open. "There is another Primal somewhere here," he closed his eyes again. "And apparently the other refugee is an Ancient."
"Seriously?!" SkyWind lifted onto her claws, excitement making her shiver. Two powerful dragons? What are they doing here?
"Come on!" PoisonStream shot out of the door. EmeraldFlare walked out the door wobbly, from all the fruits he had stuffed. CoralCharge sighed, then tried to wipe the blood off of her claws. SkyWind paused, then followed EmeraldFlare through the doorway. She could hear Solar and CoralCharge coming up from behind her.
SkyWind followed the turquoise feathers to another hut, this one a bit smaller than the one that they had stayed overnight and surrounded with tall, hydra trees.
SkyWind slowly poked her head in. She could hear the cat walking in, its small paws loud against the stone floor.
"Come on!" PoisonStream's head came down from a trapdoor above. "Can't you fly?" she teased.
"I'll show you!" SkyWind lifted Solar the cat onto her head and leaped through the air right through the door. She landed softly, her tail still dancing like crazy.
There were two dragons in the top level, and one of them was sleeping. The one that was awake looked like an inverse version of PoisonStream. Instead of orange with hints of turquoise here and there, it was turquoise with orange here and there. Bright citrin feathers decorated the dragon the same way that the cyan feathers decorated PoisonStream.
"Hello." The dragon seemed unnerved by the visitors, as if this was a regular scene. His tail flicked. When the CyaniClaw saw PoisonStream, his eyes went wide and his jaw dropped. The same happened to PoisonStream.
"PoisonFlight?" PoisonStream stepped forward awkwardly, flicking her tail here and there to avoid Solar's cat instincts to pounce.
"PoisonStream?" PoisonFlight raised his snaky body up, to match PoisonStream's.
"Um. . ." CoralCharge ducked her head. "You. . . twoknoweachother?" she muttered nervously.
"Um. . ." SkyWind lost her tongue. First off, why is another primal here? Second off, what in the world?
"Oh, I forgot to introduce myself, forgive me," PoisonFlight said smoothly. "Name's PoisonFlight, don't mess me up with River over here."
"Don't you taunt me, Wind," PoisonStream launched herself at the CyaniClaw. Turns out, they were basically matched. SkyWind and the other CyaniClaws watched as the two dragons wrestled themselves around the hut. SkyWind and the other dragons launched themselves back as the whirlwind of orange and cyan bounced around the room. Solar the cat leapt into the clash. SkyWind laughed as River (PoisonStream) and Wind (PoisonFlight) finally fell apart.
