Why and how are demons made?
There are multiple kinds of demons
Created demons
Born demons
Spawned demons
Lifeless demons
Created demons (Such as Alliestar) were created, not born a demon like the others, they could have been anything inhuman (Statue, Book)
Born demons are as they sound, they were born a demon, no trace of humanity in there.
(Flesh eaters, blood suckers, mimicking spirits, Messies, Hovers)
Spawned demons are usually created from a form of ritual (including Ouija board)
Lifeless demons were demons who were humans before the transformation. Most of them regret what they agreed to, though it was not their fault Alliestar manipulated them into doing it.
Demons are made (spawned) by a very strong emotion. (Hatred, Sadness, Jealousy, Rage)
Some people don't even realise they're creating demons . . .
