Pelco's POV

We woke up at the crack of dawn.

Tsunami pulled me aside for a moment.
There was something she wanted to tell me.

"Auklet tells me you're a very inspiring dragon. She looks up to you", Tsunami told me.

"Your sister is an inspiring dragon", I remarked.

Tsunami grinned.

"I like your determination, Pelco. You really kicked butt yesterday."

"Why thank you."

"Which is part of the reason why I want to give you this."

Tsunami handed me a small dagger, which immedately made me think of a killer whale: beautiful but deadly.

"I don't normaly just hand out wepons to the students, but, I have a feeling you're going to need this soon."

"Thank you, Tsunami."

Tsunami was far from the only dragon who pulled me aside to talk to me.

After breakfast, Junco and Windhaven (who by the way were dating) asked to talk with me alone.

"I just want to say that I'm really, really, really really really. . . "Junco cleared his throat as though the words were difficult to get out. "Really s. . . ahem, sooooooooooorrrrrr. . . "

"Sorry?", I asked.

""Yes. Whoo, I did it!", Junco said with a sigh.

Windhaven rolled her eyes.

"I've been kind of a jerk to you Pelco. I was wrong about Oaktail. I'm sorry."

"There's nothing to forgive, Windhaven. Or, as we say in Sindarin, empora etorvet."

"You're such a nerd, Pelco", Windhaven teased.

"Says the dragon who watches Mandolorion no-stop and has memorized litterly every single episode", I retorted.

"Okay, so, you're both nerds", Junco observed.

Poisonleaf walked up behind me.

"Get your things, Pelco, and meet us outside; we're leaving in about five minutes."

As I walked down the hall, I saw Acrea walking behind me.
I narowed my eyes, but kept walking.

Suddenly, Acrea pushed me into a closet and the door locked.

"Hey! Let me out!", I demanded.

"No!"

"So, you are with the assailiants!", I acussed.

"What?! No! I hate them as much as you do."

"So, then why are you doing this?", I asked.

"If you're stuck in there, then you can't go to Pantala with Oaktail. I'm going to tell him you've decided you don't like him and he'll think he's dummpeed."
Acrea walked away.

Oh, no! I have to get out of here!

Oaktail's POV

Twenty minutes later. . .

"She sould have been here already!", Avocet said impatiently.

Acrea walked up to us.
She seemed like she was satisified with herself.

"Pelco said to tell you that she's decided that you aren't her type. She won't be coming with you to Pantala."

That doesn't sound like Pelco. If she didn't like me that way why didn't she just come and tell me herself?

My eyes narowed.

"What have you done with Pelco?", I asked Acrea.

"What?", Acrea asked innocently.

"What did you do?", I repeated, my voice rose.

"I didn't do anything!"

"What. Did. You. Do?", I demanded.

"She's trapped in the closet in the hall!", she blurted.

"Acrea, how did she get stuck in there?", Avocet asked.

"Acrea, care to explain?", I asked with a growl.

"I pushed her in there", Acrea admited.

Avocet and Poisonleaf looked horrified and shocked, bu, honestly, at this point, this is what I susppected had happend.

"Is the door locked?", I asked.

"If you really must know, the door can be locked and unlocked from the outside whithout a key."

Pelco sighed with relife when I opened the door.

I pulled her into a hug.

"Did Acrea tell you-"

"I didn't belive it for a second", I told her.

I looked into her beautiful gray eyes.

"Ahem!"

Our sweet moment was abruptly interupted be Poisonleaf.

"Grab your packs, Pelco, we need to leave right now and we're already late."

Pelco had just enough time to snatch her packs, them over her beautiful long neck, and quickly follow Poisonleaf.

Poisonleaf flew in the front. Behind her follwed the very sullen Amur and Lacewing. Me, Pelco and Avocet flew in the back. This way, if Amur and Lacewing tried to escape, we could stop them.

"I hope you all packed enough food; even with the short-cut we're going to take it's going to be a long trip", Poisonleaf said.

Despite this, I did a flip in the air.

I was going back to Pantala.

And this time, Pelco was coming with me.
