Pelco's POV

TIMESKIP THREE DAYS LATER

It took longer than we'd hoped for us to fly to the Kingdom of the Sea.

Nobody'd admit it, but, I suspected it was because of me.

We'd just landed on a beech, when we heard wingbeats behind us.

I turned around to see that it was Bowfin, Angelfish's boyfriend and long time crush.

"We've been expecting you, Pelco. Your family are waitting for you. Come, follow me."

We flew for about an hour until we came within sight of the Meeting Balcony.

The Meeting Balcony (as it was called among many other names) was part of the new Summer Palace that Queen Coral was building.
At the moment it was being used (as the name would suggest) for important meetings with the Queen.

As we landed, I heard the voices of Cory and Carp singing.

"Wab-awa awin-aba awin-aba."

"In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the lion sleeps tonight!"

"A weeeeeeeeeee-eeeeeeeeeeeeeee
a pumba-pumba-way!", I finished as I entered the room.

"Pelco!", Carp cried, runing into my arms.

Dang, I missed him so much.

"Hey, Pelco!", Cory said, patting my shoulder.

"Well, look who's back", Angelfish said in her suppieror-sounding voice.

Mother walked up to me and put a wing around me.

"Welcome back, Pelco!"

She gave Oaktail a friendly smile.

"And you must be Oaktail. I've heard so much about you."

"What? What have you heard?", Carp asked.

I put a talon over my face to try to hide my blush.
"This is Oaktail, my boyfriend."

Angelfish's jaw dropped.
Somehow, her face almost made the embaressment worth it.

"Well, in the case, welcome to the family!", Cory said opening his wings.

Angelfish face-palmed.

Cory walked up to me.

"Hey, sis, you're looking kind of hot."

"You are reeeeeally not helping", I remarked.

"The Queen has personaly invited us for dinner. You should get ready", Mother instructed.
"And Pelco, don't forget to take a bath."

Bruh, I'm a Seawing.

One hour later

I'd never been to the Royal Dining hall before.

Much to my dismay and annoyence, "all of us" had appartently meant, "You, me, and your brothers and sister".

My friends were eatting dinner with the soldiers and I knew that no degree of persuasion would get the queen to allow them to dinne with us.

"I'm sorry that your friends cannot eat with us, Pelco. We were not prepared to have dinner with dragons from other tribes."

It felt almost as if the queen was scorning my friends for not being Seawings.

I'd always felt kind of annoyed by Queen Coral.

Many old documents said that she was the best queen in Phyrria.
But, as it turned out, Queen Coral herself wrote many of those old documents.
