Jisoo picked up her phone from her pocket and dialled in. Until she was answered."Hey baby." Jisoo took another glance at the exit door of the rooftop where the smoking area is located. No one is around.
"Granny said you are crying."
"I am okay now mama."
"Wow, my baby is so good."
"Mama. What time are you coming home?"
"Chelsea, mom's working okay. I'll be home before dinner. You will not cry, will you?"
"I behave well mama."
"I already did all of my homeworks."
"Do you want anything?"
"Cookies." Jisoo can hear her giggling on the other line.
"Okay, cookies. Be good to granny okay."
"I will mama. I love you."
"I love you baby." Jisoo ended the call, smiling.
My baby.
Chelsea.
She almost dropped her phone when she heard a familiar voice at her back. Haein was standing next to her.
"A man hater, but saying I love you and baby in one line." She closed her eyes as she felt his warm breath on her nape.
"Bold for you to think it's a man." She muttered in full annoyance. "Can you stop lurking around me?"
"Bold for you to think I am after you. This is a smoking area Ms. Kim. A common area." His last words are almost whisper.
Here they are again, bickering. And here they are again, feeling the tension between them. At times she felt butterflies, and felt it was so wrong. She pinched her own self, making her winced.
Jisoo turned around, only to end up facing him much closer.
"Move." Her back is touching the cold railings of the rooftop wall.
"I really find you interesting Ji." He rested his arms on the railings, her in between his arms. She can feel heat already over her body just his arms touching her bare skin.
"I like you. I really do." Haein said, beaming at her. Jisoo's eyes are now on the ground looking at her feet, avoiding his eyes. Not him reading me through eyes. It might betray me.
"I feel otherwise." Lie. Go and lie Ji. You are attracted to him. "Stop it Haein. You are just wasting your time."
Haein chuckled. She can feel his eyes scanning her. "Am I really wasting my time? I don't know Ji. But every part of me wants you." Jisoo looked at him after hearing his words. She is really tired of putting up a fight today. She did not answer this time.
She tried to move again, but Haein held her on the arm.
"Let's date."
She softly laughed. "You know how I hate men so much, and you think these actions would work with me?"
"What should I do then?"
"I don't know. Maybe get lost?" She said irritably. Her mind is focused now on her little sister.
"You won't sway me just like this Haein. If I were you, I'd just stop."
"I am not the type to give up easily, Jisoo. I always get what I want. And I want you."
She lifted her head up to meet his stares, determination seen on his handsome face. She didn't know if it would make her heart flutter, but a confession like this should give butterflies to a normal girl. But not in her case.
She breathes deeply. "Do what you want then."
He pulled away when a group of employees entered the rooftop, cigars on their hands. They heard small mumbles, them, looking in their direction.
"I will. Surely I will."
