Chelsea's 5th birthday was just a day away. But Jisoo cannot sleep. Her last talk with Haein lingered on her heart.

Let him in, and let go of the hate.

But she asked herself, up until when is she gonna hold on to that pain and hate.

It's been five years, and now, someone's knocking into her heart, giving her the love she's been denying herself.

She took one more glance at Chelsea, and she leaned in to kiss her on the forehead.

"I love you my baby." She whispered to her, pulling her on a tight embrace.

It will be 5 years tomorrow. Maybe its time....

Haein arrived early at Jisoo's house, bringing the cake he had promised Chelsea. A running Chelsea came running to him.

"Dada!!!!!" Chelsea shouted, full of excitement. "Where is my cake?"

He wrapped her small body into his tight hug. "Inside the car." He replied, handing him a huge paperbag.

"Happy birthday sweetheart." He whispered to her, gently caressing her hair as she peeked at the paper bag curiously. Jisoo's mom welcomed him warmly.

"You are here early." She hugged him briefly.

"Where is Jisoo?" He asked.

"She said she had something to do important, but she didn't tell me where she's going."

"Dada can I open my gift?"

He answered it with a smile.

"Go to granny inside, I'll wait for Mama here."

"Just wait inside Haein, its okay." Her mom replied. Chelsea grabbed his arm, dragging him inside the house.

Jisoo placed her phone back to her bag, and lifted the huge flower arrangements she pre ordered yestersay.

Let's take one step forward today.

The cold breeze of morning air enveloped her as she made her way to a place she's never been after that incident.

Hatred, pain and betrayal. It almost kill her.

Almost.

She carefully laid down the huge bouquet of flowers.

"Hi Jiwon." Jisoo gently touched the tomb in front of her.

Kim Jiwon. 1997 - 2017.

Only the swishes of air could be heard in a sea of silence.

Until they were mixed with silent sobs.

"It took a while before I came. Are you guiding my baby Ji in there? The two of you are already together." She wiped the tears that slowly started to fall. She sighed deeply.

Silence embraced her again. Her hand continued to touch the cemented tomb, as if she was holding someone so dear.

"I thought I can never ever forgive everyone that hurt me and my baby. But here I am. Seeking my peace. Trying to let go of all of the hate."

She sobbed continuously as tears continued to pour.

"I am sorry if it took me a while to give you peace. I'm so sorry. I hope you understand. I've been hurting for too long. My heart had been too cold for the longest time I thought I already forgot what love is." She touched the tomb again.

It took quite some time, and her phone dinged for another message.

Haein: Chelsea's sulking now. She's been looking for you. I am starting to sulk now, Chelsea's making me do it with her. Do you need a lift? I can pick you up.

I sent my reply.

Be there in a bit. Stop Chelsea from sulking, its her birthday.

Haein: Come home Mama - Chelsea.

Haein: I love you.

I wonder where the I love you came from. But I can't help but smile. I think from both of them.

"I had to leave, promise I'll come back. I'll visit you more often." She bid last goodbye to her.

And that day, she took that one step.

A step to forgiveness.
