It all started out as a normal, sunny day despite being winter. You had finished up all of your winter holiday homework.
Your two friends, a pair of twins, Kimika and Kimiko had asked you out to enjoy the holiday. You agreed. Of course, you had no idea it was at a club.
They brought you to the place called 'Heaven's Club' and you actually saw a whole new world. Not that you were comfortable with it of course.
At some point of time, the twins had left your side. You were left alone when a man had approached you. You didn't know that this encounter would then change your life.
"Hello there. What's a cutie like you doing alone?" He had asked.
"I was with my friends..." You said softly, being the shy girl you were.
"What was that? You gotta speak louder honey" He teased.
"I said I was with my friends!" You said, speaking a little louder this time.
"I see... I'm Hanma Shuji, what's your name honey?" He had introduced himself.
You were about to speak up when you felt your phone vibrated. You searched for your phone and saw who called you.
You turn to the guy called Hanma and excused yourself to pick up the call. After that day, you did not return to the club and throughout winter break, you couldn't help but to occasionally think of that guy, Hanma.
When winter break ended and you returned to school, you were shock to see Hanma in the school. And that's when you realized, he was actually a year older than you.
"Call me 'Hanma-senpai'" He said with a smirk when he realized that you were his junior.
Unknowingly since that day, Hanma has been pestering you whenever he saw you in school. Though initially you were annoyed, you gradually began to like having him around you.
A year later, you were in second year of Middle School while Hanma was in his Third Year. It was when it happened. You wanted to confess to him.
But Hanma was getting pretty popular with the girls at school. You did not had the courage to confess and thus, you slowly started to avoid him, much to his frustration.
Today was a fateful day. It wad raining pretty heavily and the roads seem like it could be flooded within the next few minutes.
You quickly made your way home but due to the heavy rain, while crossing the road, a car had lost control.

It was a pretty boring day for him. Despite being in Valhalla, he was getting pretty bored. But that night, it changed when he met you at Heaven's Club.
He instantly recognize you as his junior at school. He always felt interested in you since you were the only girl who didn't fangirl over him.
"Hello there. What's a cutie like you doing alone?" He had asked.
You had mumbled something softly but he couldn't hear and told you to speak up. He then introduced himself but he didn't got your name.
After that he kept going back to the club in hopes to see you but unfortunately you didn't. Until school had resume, he saw you.
He started to pester you and he enjoyed the reactions you give him. Slowly without realizing, he was feeling something inside of him.
"Dude, can't believe you're in love" said Kisaki.
The Hanma Shuji in love with an ordinary girl? Of course he couldn't believe it. He denied those feelings.
Until you started to avoid him. He was frustrated. He was angry. He didn't understand why you were avoiding him. He felt hurt.
The fateful rainy day. He was hanging out with Kisaki when they both heard a loud crash, followed by a screams. They went to the site of the accident.
"That car lost control!"
"It hit so many people..."
"Such a shame..."
"Someone call the ambulance!"
"Hanma, let's go. Nothing interesting to see here" says Kisaki.
Kisaki went on ahead and he was about to leave when he hear a soft voice struggling to say his name.
"H-Han... Ma-s-sen... Pai?"
His eyes widen as he froze in his tracks. He slowly turn around and it was as if his world stopped. His body moved before his mind could comprehend what happened.
"Why the fuck are you here?!" He ask as he held her close to him.
"I... Can't see..." She said softly.
"Shh... The ambulance is coming" He comforts.
"Hanma-senpai... You're c-crying"
He did not realize. He was crying because of you.
"Don't talk..." He says.
"Sorry for... Avoiding you. Please... Hear my last words" You struggled to say.
"Shut up, you're not dying alright?"
"Hanma-senpai... I like you so much..." You had said and after that, you stopped talking.
"Oi... Don't fall asleep on me..." Hanma said but you didn't answer him back.
"Damn it... Talk to me Y/N! Damn it... I haven't even replied to you... I like you too idiot"
Present time.
It has been two years since then. Hanma was now walking back home with a bunch of groceries in his hand.
He looked up into the sky upon exiting the supermarket. It was getting dark.
"I really hate the rain" Hanma says as he quickly made his way back home.
"I'm home..." He mumbles as he removes his shoes.
"Welcome home Hanma-senpai!"
Hanma set the groceries on the table and sigh as he turn to the round table and picks up the photo of you and him.
"Damn it Y/N... How could you leave me like that?" Hanma mumbles as he smiles bitterly.
You were the first woman to ever made he feel the emotion called 'love'. But now you were gone... Even if he does occasionally hears you.
"In the end... It was all but an empty happiness"
