Ryuguji Ken "Draken" x Reader

It's a sunny day and you were supposedly asleep when you suddenly shot your eyes open. You sit and lean against the bed frame as you calm your breathing.

"Wh-What was that?" You question to yourself.

"Y/N! Wake up and have breakfast!" You turn to the door.

"M-Mum?"

The door opens and you flinch a little. Your eyes widen as you couldn't hold back the tears.

"Y/N? Is something wrong? Why are you crying?" Your Mother ask, surprise to see you cry. Upon this you quickly wipe away your tears.

"I-I don't know... Why am I crying?" You say.

"You must have had a sad dream or something then. Anyways, come down for breakfast and get ready for school" She says and close the door. 

After wiping off the tears, you look around your room and you didn't understand why but you had a feeling of nostalgia. You went to your closet and put on your middle school uniform with a small smile. 

"Weird... Why does it feels nostalgic?" You question to yourself before grabbing your bag and heading for the dining table as you have breakfast with your Mum. 

*ding dong*

The doorbell suddenly rings, much to your curiosity. 

"Who could it be?" You ask. 

"Must be Ken-chan coming to fetch you. Be right there!" Your Mum says as she goes to open the door. 

Your eyes widen and that moment, various of images flash through your head, causing your head to ache. 

"Y/N! You alright?! Is your head hurting?" Your Mum starts to panic. 

"A-Ah I'm fine!" You assure her.

"Are you sure?" Your Mother ask.

"Don't worry Mrs L/N. I'll bring her home if she's feeling unwell" says your childhood best friend and crush, Ryuguji Ken, or Draken.

"Please do that Ken-chan. Thanks" says your Mother and soon, the two of you left for school but not before turning to your Mum. 

"Hey Mum" You call out to her. 

"Yes honey?" You hesitate.

"If possible Try not to board the 3:15pm train bound for Shibuya" You say and she raise an eyebrow. 

"Umm. okay?" You smile a little before leaving with Draken. 

"What was that about?" He ask. 

"It's nothing" You say, waving it off. 

'12 years ago today, 3rd August 2005, Mum boarded the 3:15pm train towards Shibuya. The train had lost control and crashed, causing many deaths. And also... Ken-chan too'

"Oi, are you listening?" You snap out of your trance when Draken keep on messing with your hair. 

"S-Sorry" You apologize. 

"Anyways, Takemitchy said to meet up for the festival tonight at the shrine. You wanna join?" Draken ask. 

"I could never turn down the offer" You say.

Fast forward it's already evening. You happen to encounter Hina on your way and the two of you proceeded to the venue together, where you meet Draken and Takemichi.

'Tonight... Ken-chan could end up dying... I don't know how I returned to the past but... I want to protect him'

"Sorry to keep you waiting!" says Hina and she begins to hang out with Takemichi while you went beside Draken, talking about random things.

"... And then I was like-- Ah, it's raining!" You exclaim as you cover your head with your hands.

"Stay by the shelter, I'll get us an umbrella" says Draken and he heads out to buy two umbrellas. After that the two of you went elsewhere, where you encountered Peh-yan.

"Peh-yan-kun? What is he doing here? In uniform?" You mumble. 

"Take this and step aside" says Draken as he hands you the umbrella. 

"Ken-chan?"

"Peh... You couldn't agree with what went down huh... If it's a fight you want, come at me" says Draken and your eyes widen.

"Ken-chan!!" You yell and quickly defend Draken by kicking away the Moebius member.

'Of course! How could I forget?! Peh-yan-kun collided with the Moebius member and the one who stabbed Ken-chan... Is not here! Where is he?!'

"Y/N!"

"Peh-yan-kun! That's low of you! Colluding with Moebius!" You yell as you punch the shit out of the Moebius members along with Draken and just then, Takemichi arrives with Mitsuya. 

"Takemichi-kun! Mitsuya-kun!"

'Wait... How are they here? I don't remember them being here last time'

Just when you all thought you were surrounded, Mikey, along with the remaining Toman members came to help as an all-out fight broke out. 

'Shiet- I got separated from Ken-chan!'

"Damn it, it's hard to fight *punch* in a freaking yukata! *kick*" You complain as you punch and kick the Moebius guys away. 

'I got to calm down... The one who killed Ken-chan... Kiyomasa... I think'

As you continue to punch and kick the Moebius members, you then see Draken and Kiyomasa from afar. Your eyes widen as you quickly rush towards them. 

"Ken-chan!!" You yell and did a flying kick towards Kiyomasa, shocking Kiyomasa and Draken themselves. 

Once Kiyomasa was down, you quickly knock the knife away from Kiyomasa and turn to Draken. 

"Ken-chan! Are you alright?!" You ask as you check for his injuries, checking for any stab wounds. 

"I-I'm fine but... What was that Y/N?" Draken ask. 

"I saw him holding a knife and mumbling about wanting to kill you" You lie.

"Is that so..." You nod and you got a shock when Draken suddenly punches someone behind you.

"Stay here" Draken instructs as he removes his coat and wraps it around you, since you teared off your yukata to fight better. 

"Ken-chan...!" You held onto his shirt but he simply pats your head, assuring you that he will be fine and so you decide to trust him as you pray for his safety.

'Ken-chan... Please survive today... Mum too' You pray.

Soon, the fight ended and Draken manages to survive. This day, is then known as the 8/3 Battle. You were also glad that your Mum was safe, of course she was suspicious of how you knew the train was going to lose control but you shrug it off. 

It's been a week since the 8/3 Battle. You were now at your school rooftop, along with Draken, eating lunch while you two talk about random things.

You unconsciously smile while glancing at Draken who is now facing the direction of the wind with his braids flowing smoothly behind him. 

'Whatever happens in the future... I pray you will remain alive and happy, Ken-chan' You thought before yawning. 

"You tired?" Draken ask and you nod.

"Then rest for a while. When it's time to go back I'll wake you up" says Draken. 

"Thanks Ken-chan" You say and made yourself comfortable before slowing closing your eyes.

'Stay safe Ken-chan... I love you'
