[FANTASY AU: Where vampires were simply 'myths' to humans who once co-existed together]

"Check out the news N/N!" Your best friend, Tachibana Hinata exclaims as she shoves her phone in front of your case.

"Too close! I can't see!" You say.

"Oops hehe... Look!" says Hina and you look at the news heading on her phone. 

"Hm? 'Vampire Prince has revived after many years?'" You question. 

"Don't you know the legend? Weren't you listening in History class?' Hina ask. 

"I do listen! Vampire Prince or Princess comes out from seclusion once every 100 full moons. But this news used the word 'revived'. Makes no sense" You say.

"You really haven't been caught up with the latest news. The last time the Vampire Princess was seen was more than 100 full moons ago!" says Hina. 

"No wonder the news used the word 'revived'. But it's not like Vampires ever died" You say.

"I never knew you were so sympathetic with vampires. I thought you hated them?" questions Hina. 

"I hate them sure but... It's not like all the vampires in the world are the ones who killed my parents" You say.

Later, the lunch bell ring but unfortunately for you, Hina decides to have a lunch date with her boyfriend Takemichi. So, you ended up going to the roof top where you usually would be if Hina isn't with you. 

However, you seem to have an uninvited guest today as you were shock to see someone sleeping at the roof. And he isn't even a student here since he wasn't wearing a uniform. 

"Umm... Excuse me but who are you? You don't seem like a student here" You ask and the white haired man opens his eyes and direct his gaze to you. 

You felt a moment of chill down your spine. 

"Mikey..." He mumbles. 

"Eh?

He suddenly jumps down and his face was really close to yours, surprising you. 

"I'm Mikey" He says. 

"R-Right... Mikey...-san. You aren't a student here are you?" You ask. 

"Here is the best place to take a nap" says Mikey and he looks down at your bento. 

"What's that?" He ask. 

"Ah... It's my lunch... My friend is on a lunch date so I'm alone for today" You say and open up the bento box.

You glance to check out Mikey's expression and it was as if his lifeless eyes were sparkling. You let out a soft chuckle. 

"If you haven't eaten, would you like to have some?" You ask. 

"Can I?" He ask and take a seat beside you.

"I don't mind" You say and take the first bite while Mikey hesitated a little but nonetheless, he still puts a piece of egg roll in his mouth before chewing. 

"How is it? I cook it myself but... I'm not a really good cook" You admit sheepishly.

"It's good" says Mikey and you smile a little and you enjoy your little lunch with the stranger.

*krrriiiiinnnngggg*

"Ah it's the bell. I've got to go" You say as you quickly pack your things.

"Will you be back?" Mikey ask. 

"I'll be up here on certain days. But you really shouldn't come here uninvited. Especially since you're not a student here. Careful not to get caught by our discipline master on your way out. Bye!" You say and left the roof. 

"She's interesting" Mikey says with a smirk before disappearing right there.

Over the next few days, you found yourself going up the rooftop more often. You were secretly looking forward to meet Mikey. Though, you never understood why is he always at your school, moreover at the rooftop. He never gave you an answer.

"N/N, you've been going to the roof more often lately" says Hina and you stop scribbling on your textbook. 

"Are you seeing someone?!" Hina ask. 

"I'm not!" You defend but she eyes you suspiciously. 

"It'll be great if you find someone" Hina says with a sigh. 

"What's wrong? Are things not going well with Hanagaki-san?" You ask. 

"Takemichi-kun want me to keep it a secret but since you're my friend, I trust you. Can you keep this a secret?" Hina ask softly and I nod. 

"Takemichi got attacked by a group of vampires" says Hina and your eyes widen. 

"What?!" You exclaim loudly, causing the students to turn to you and Hina.

"Shhh!!!" Hina bows to the students as they mind their own businesses. 

"C-Caught off guard. What happened? is he alright?" You ask. 

"He's fine now. Right now, only his parents, the teachers, you and me know. I don't think they'd want the students to panic knowing the vampires are attacking humans" says Hina. 

"Is it really a vampire?" Hina nods.

The day soon ended. To tell the truth, you were a little disappointed when you didn't get to see Mikey on the roof today. On your way home, you felt a cold, eerie presence following you.

"Takemichi got attacked by a group of vampires"

Hina's words repeated in your head as you hug yourself and walked faster. The moment you turn a corner, you scream when a figure appeared in front of you. Your eyes widen. 

The figure was on four legs and it had blood red eyes and sharp fangs. The drool was also dripping down the mouth. You shake as you take a step back until you hit the wall.

"V-Vampire!"

"Rawwwrrr!!" You scream and brace yourself for the impact but all you heard was the vampire screaming.

You slowly open your eyes and you see Mikey in front of you with his hands stretch out and bright reddish-orange lights wrapping around his arm. 

You then turn your attention to the vampire who is being burnt continuously, until it was reduced to ashes. No, not even ashes had remain. A suggestion crossed your mind. 

"Y/N, you alright?" Mikey turns to you and ask as he help you to get back on your feet.

"M-Mikey-san... What are you?" You couldn't help but to ask. 

"If I tell you, would you hate me?" Mikey ask and you remain silent. 

"No... Because Mikey-san is still Mikey-san" You say and you got caught off guard and Mikey suddenly gives you a hug.

"Mikey-san?"

"You already know don't you?" Mikey ask.

"I... I want you to tell me" You say softly and Mikey breaks the hug. 

"I'm the so called revived Vampire Prince" Your eyes widen. 

"Why so surprised?" He ask. 

"I-I mean... I wasn't expecting you to be the Prince" Mikey chuckles and stretches out his hand. 

"Can you... Be my Princess? I really like you Y/N" says Mikey.

You remain silent for a moment. Yes, you hate Vampires because their race killed your parents when you were younger. But you don't hate all. Because it was only those few Vampires responsible for killing your parents. 

Without you realizing, you had fallen for Mikey whom you knew nothing about until now. You smile and take Mikey's hand. 

"Thanks Mikey-san... I like you too"
