Later that night we were watching a movie when I discovered something I never thought I would.

I was laying next to him rubbing his back when I felt something off

"What's in your shirt?" I asked him

He instantly rolled over to face me, "What do you mean?"

I sat up and put my hand over him, pulling his shirt up a little. Wings? I thought. What? But there they were. Pale yellow wings. "What the"

He pulled his shirt back down, trying to hide under the blanket.

"Hey, it's ok. You're not the only hybrid here you know." he looked me right in my eyes.

"What are you talking about?"

I sat up and shook my hair, as two dog ears poked out. "I'm one too."

He sat up but didn't move. There was shock in his eyes. But after a minute he pulled off his shirt and hoodie. Revealing two big yellow wings.

"But what do you mean hybrid?" he asked

"That's what you are. It's a mix between a human and an animal. I'm part dog. What are you?"

He seemed confused. "I- Don't know. I've never heard of a hybrid before. When I was born my wings were cut off. But as I grew they did too. My parents always told me to keep them hidden and never let anyone see them. Ever. I never knew why I had them and my parents never told me why. Just that if someone found out they would run tests on me."

"Maybe one of your parents is one?"

"But neither of them are."

"Did either of them act odd? Like they weren't human if that makes sense."

"Yeah? Sam always seemed a little off. Like he was keeping something from me."

"Then Sam might have been a hybrid as well. Was there anything about him that seemed like an animal of some sort?"

"No. Or wait. He always smelled like burning gunpowder."

"Well, that's odd."

"And he was always obsessed with, like bombs and wars and things blowing up."

"Bombs? Wars? Things blowing up?" I whispered to myself "A creeper!"

"What?"

"Yeah, a creeper is from Minecraft, but that doesn't mean he isn't one. You said he always smelled like burning gunpowder. He likes war and bombs and things that blow up. Creepers have gunpowder in them. Because you get too close-"

"They blow up" He finished for me

"Exactly"

"That makes sense, but doesn't. How could he be part creeper when they're not even real?"

"I don't know. But that's the only thing that makes sense. Hybrids aren't human and they're not supposed to be real. Yet here we are. Two of them. So a creeper could very easily be real and we just know it yet."

"So what am I then?"

"Well, you have wings. So something that can fly. And they're yellow so maybe... A duck!"
He fell back on the bed. "I'm a fucking duck! You have to be kidding me. Why couldn't I have been a creeper like dad. Ugh"

"Well, you're just as cute." I said climbing on top of him. Since he didn't have his shirt on his wings were spread out across the bed.

Your wings are massive. I thought. And they were. He was laying in the middle of the bed and his wings were hanging off the edge. I started stoking one of them when he sat up again.

He had panic in his eyes.

"Are you ok?" He looked at the window to see the curtains were closed. He got up and put his shirt and hoodie back on, you could no longer tell he had wings, and walked out of the room. Then I heard it too. Someone was knocking at the door. It was almost midnight. Why was someone knocking? I hid my ears in my hair again.

Quackity opened the door. "Hello?" he called, but there was no one there. He closed it again and there was more knocking. We looked at each other confused, but he opened the door again and heard laughing. "Fuck off ass holes." he hollered; three teenagers ran off and one of them was sapnap.

We walked back to the room and I just sat there. He pulled off his shirt and hoodie again, stretching his wings out as he lay down. "Can you rub my wings again?" he asked.

He looked over at me. "Hey, are you ok?" he asked, sitting up and pulling me close, wrapping his wings around me.

"One of those kids was sapnap," I said

"Oh"

He held me close, hugging me. His wings were soft. Wrapping around me. He ruffled my hair, letting my ears show again. He had his hands on my lower back as he looked at me.

"So, do you just have ears or?"

"I also have a tail," I replied quietly
"Can I see it?" he asked.

"Um"

"It's ok if not. I respect your privacy and will wait till you're comfortable with showing me."

He moved his wings as I got up. I pulled my hoodie up just enough for my tail to fall hitting the back of my legs.

"It's so fluffy," he said, hugging me. "Thank you for showing me."

"Yeah of course." I didn't know what to say. I was a little embarrassed. I had never shown my tail before.

He got up and got his PJ pants on. I did the same. But I didn't get a pair of mine. I took a pair of his. He just laughed at it. He laid back down stretching his wings again. I climbed back on top of him. Rubbing his wing. When I started to hear a noise coming from him. It was kind of like a purr but at the same time so much different. I liked the sound. After a little bit, he rolled over moving the wing I was rubbing to the same side as the other. He pulled me next to him. The purring sound got louder. One of his wings moved over me, it felt like I was wrapped in a soft blanket. They were warm against my back. I cuddled close to him.

I looked up at him. I felt like crying.

"What's wrong puppy?"

"I- don't know"

"Are you just sad?"

"I don't know" I started to cry

He pulled me close. wrapping His wings around me. Rubbing my back. I fell asleep in his arms.
