The next day, the Anbu had paid the Sand Genin a visit and took them to the Hokage's office.

"Now, you should know why you're here." The Third Hokage said, his tone calm and reserved.

"Yes, Lord Hokage." Temari said, she bows her head as did her teammates. "We are sorry for our brother's actions."

"You're not the one that should be apologizing and certainly not to me." Hiruzen stated.

Suddenly the door opens to Ebisu and Konohamaru.

"Grandpa!" Konohamaru yelled, he runs over to his grandfather's side.

"Now, you are to apologize to my grandson this instant. And only the one responsible."

Kankuro grits his teeth in annoyance, he looks at Konohamaru, who stared at him for a moment before smirking smugly.

His entire body twitched in infuriation as he grits his teeth harder.

But he could feel the bloodlust exuding from every pore of Gaara's body as he gives him a deadly sideways glance.

Kankuro bows his head even further. "Kid—" Hiruzen cuts him off. "Konohamaru."

Kankuro clears his throat. "Konohamaru, I sincerely apologize for attacking you. I hope you can accept my deepest regrets."

Konohamaru scoffs but looks at his grandfather, who nodded his head.

He looks back at the Sand Genin. "Fine, but you better watch your back, cause there won't be another second chance for you."

"Well put." Hiruzen said, he looks at the Sand Genin icily. "To be honest, I wanted to kick you out of the village for your actions."

The Sand Genin flinched in response.

"But after notifying the Kazekage of your teammate's transgressions, he had convinced me to leave your punishment up to him."

Temari frowns, knowing that they are in a heap of trouble when they see their father next time.

This is all Kankuro's fault! Why did he had to go acting like a big shot?!

Hiruzen looks at them seriously. "With that in mind, I suggest you all stay on your best behavior looking forward, one toe out of line and you will be disqualified."

"We understand Lord Hokage." Gaara said.

"Good, you may leave." Hiruzen does a wave, which signaled for his Anbu to escort the Sand Genin back to their inn.

And their entire journey was silent but there was an eeriness in the air.

The second the Anbu left them alone, Kankuro found himself thrown against the wall by sand.

Temari flinched as she looked between her brothers warily.

"You idiot! You've really done it this time!" Gaara said darkly, the sand slightly tightens around Kankuro.

"I'm sorry Gaara, I didn't know that the brat was—" He squeaks when the sand slightly tightens as a warning.

"Shut up!" Gaara hissed. "Because of you, we were almost disqualified before the exams even started."

"Now the Kazekage is furious with us. And he has a right to be after he had specifically told us to be on our best behavior while we're in Konohagakure."

"But no, you couldn't get it through your stupid head that we're not in Sunagakure anymore."

"Thus, the protection of being the child of the Kazekage is less effective here."
