Hidden Ambition

"The Blood lust in his eyes, this is no longer a child." Haku thought.

As the two got closer, Haku threw his needles but one yell from fury from Naruto sent a wave of chakra that knocked them back.

Seeing that they were getting too close, Haku quickly disappears and reappears into another mirror.

"Their chakra grows stronger every second. I must strike now."

However, before he could do anything, Ruby craned her neck to look at him, like she could instantly sense where he was.

Gritting her teeth, it showed that like Naruto her canine's had elongated.

With one wave of her hand, a powerful bolt of energy was sent his way, but Haku dodges it.

However, as he soars towards another mirror, the sound of glass shattering was deafening on his ears.

Stopping, Haku had a really bad feeling and slowly looked at the mirror he had just escaped from.

Eyes widening, Haku's stomach dropped as the feeling of dread coursed through his body at the horrifying sight before him.

Which is the missing mirror, it was completely gone, its broken pieces laying on the ground.

"That should be impossible. This girl...she...she broke one of my mirrors?!" Haku thought. "This is bad, really bad."

Gulping, Haku quickly duplicated himself into every mirror before Ruby could try that again.

Him and the clones quickly threw their needles at once and they managed to hit their targets.

But instead of finally dying, Ruby and Naruto just forced the needles right out of them.

And even though there were so many mirrors clones to choose from, Naruto came rushing at the real Haku.

Gasping, Haku quickly disappears as Naruto punches the mirror, shattering it into pieces.

And while this horrified Haku even more, he chose to ignore it and instead focus on staying alive.

As one flying glass piece flew above Naruto, Haku appeared in it and tried to get the drop on him.

But Naruto quickly jumped out of the way and skidded to a stop. Looking at the Mist Ninja, he snarls ferociously.

"Impossible." Haku thought as he tried to run back to a mirror.

But Ruby appeared next to him, and as she jumped into the air, she sent a flying roundhouse kick to his face, knocking him on his back.

Groaning, Haku laid there dazed. But once he regained his senses, the first thing he noticed was Ruby, who was standing right next to him.

Looking at him murderously, Ruby raises her foot straight up in the air, ready to bring it down.

Haku quickly rolled out of the way just as Ruby brought her foot down, right where his head used to be.

And much to Haku's horror, the mere force of the stomp was enough to cause the solid stone to buckle and shatter, making a crater that was 5x bigger than her own foot.

If he had not dodged, Haku was sure that his skull would have been pulverized into dust.

He has to get out of here now, he runs towards another mirror, and he almost made it, but Naruto grabbed him by his wrist and pulled him back.

He then released a surge of energy that made it even more overwhelming for Haku.

Outside, Kakashi was becoming more worried by the second.
