The Last Stand

~Chapter 10~

I went inside the Pizzaplex while families were rushing in and out. I needed my car keys! Or else I have to ditch my car. Children were running and playing. And then I realized that I was still wearing my Security Guard outfit...oh well. That's the least of my concerns right now. I left my car keys in this HUGE place!

"U-Um..." A tiny voice stuttered behind me. I turned around and saw a little girl, with blonde hair in pig-tails and brown eyes. Her outfit consists of a Glamrock Chica t-shirt and regular ripped jeans.

"Yes? What's wrong?"

"Y-You're a staff...right?"

"Yes, I am. What's wrong?"

"I...don't know where my parents are. Can you help me look for them?"

"Of course! My name is Y/N! What's yours?"

"My name is Grace...Grace Cappion!" Grace answered.

"Okay. Let's go to the lost and found. I will speak on the intercom in hopes of your parents returning to the lost and found. Okay?"

"Okay, Y/N!" Grace followed me to the lost and found. I turned on the intercom.

"Please come to the lost and found if you're looking for a Grace Cappion. And I repeat: A Grace Cappion." I finished explaining and turned off the intercom. "Now we should wait."

"Okay...will they come?"

"They will. They're your parents!"

"Yes...but..."

"But what?"

"T-They...abuse me..."

"They...WHAT?!"

"Yeah...they punch me, manipulate me, and only use me to clean the house, make food, and more...and I'm only 7..."

"That's awful!"

"Yeah...they may have left me on purpose..."

"Grace?"

"Yes?"

"Is it possible for me to adopt you? I have a huge house and a lot of clothes. Since I wanted myself to be prepared when I left my parents house. Then I realized I was TOO prepared. So...do you want me to be your parent for the time being?"

Grace was too shocked to say anything. All she did was hug me. I heard light sobs from her.

"Y-Y-Yes...I would...l-love to live w-with you...h-how can you be s-so kind?" Grace asked between sobs.
