The Last Stand

~Chapter 20~

The carpet on the floor caught on fire. Everything went around from there. Fire filled my vision...it made me somewhat...happy? Why? Why did fire and burning the pizzeria make me feel fulfilled?

Perfect...see? Was it that hard? Master asked me.

"No," I answered. "I wasn't hard. But I feel bad."

Well, get that thought out of your head...you should leave the pizzeria so you don't die. You have more work to do while Gregory and the others burn.

"Even Vanny?"

Vanny's already out. So she's fine.

"Okay..." I left the pizzeria and watched it burn into flames. All the friends I've made there...I let that die? Why? What's wrong with me?! "Wait, where is Vanny? I can't see her..."

I thought she got out... Master showed full concern.

"Maybe..." My voice trailed off. "She left the other side?"

How? This is the only enterence. The one you walked into.

"Oh...I don't know then."

Well...maybe you can replace her...if she's truly gone. But first, I'll have to take full control of you. You can't disobey if you'll be her replacement, after all...

"WHAT??" I yelped in fear.

You heard me. Say bye to the outside world I guess!

"No- You can't-" All of a sudden, my vision turned red.

Gregory's POV...

The flames were surrounding me, and it was hard to see...where is everybody? Y/N? Freddy? Even Chica? Did they all burn? I have to stop this!! And find...somebody! Anybody! I can't let this happen...I need to be the hero! I raced to the security room where the flames seemed to originate. I grabbed the purple chip that was sparking from the heat, and threw it in the fire. Next, I take all the CDs I found and throw them in. I burned every single thing that could deal with Vanny being controlled by this glitch. Or even...could Y/N be controlled too? Is that why I can't see them at all and that they're like Vanny now? Or is it because they died? Who knows anymore...

Now I needed an exit. Something to free me from the flames. And I only hope I burned the things that made the glitch control Vanessa and (possibly) Y/N. For good. I need to be a hero.

I jumped through the hole made in the wall because of the fire. I started coughing and wheezing with the smoke that filled my lungs. I passed out on the grass, hoping the fire won't snip my feet.

Vanny's POV...

I was too weak to bypass the flames. I was only hoping Master would be happy with me...but is he ever happy? Or am I just disappointing him again? Maybe this is the end to my suffering with him. Maybe death would be a release from this hell that Afton, himself, has created. A simulation with no ending. A never ending cycle, that I'm always trapped inside. Stupid idiot...why did I let myself be controlled by this guy? Is that how I want to end my life? Being controlled by a maniac? I could finally think clearly again, and Master wasn't in my head. Am I free? Or am I slowly losing my senses and dying? Am I drying...?

Y/N's POV...

It was black. Master took over my senses, and my soul felt black. I need to fight back somehow, and Master's connection is growing weaker from something. Maybe that can give me the advantage I need to control myself again from this hell Vanny put me into unwillingly. Why did I think this would help me? It only made everything worse. My friends...are now burning...and it's all my fault...

Narrator...

Y/N was trying to gain control of their body as Glitchtrap was slyly moving along taking full control over their body. They didn't allow that, nor liked that. Since Gregory threw Glitchtrap's chip and CDs in the fire, his connection was growing weaker and weaker. Y/N's body started to spasm in confusion...Glitchtrap was losing power over Y/N and Vanny, who was now engulfed by the flames of terror.

This is Glitchtrap's last hurrah, as Y/N gained full control. Able to move again, they bolted into the burning pizzeria to rescue their friends...
