The Last Stand

~Chapter 12~

The Uno game was about to finish up, and Grace overall won. But since I never completely explained how TO win, she was confused.

"Did I win?" Grace asked. "I have no more cards..."

"Yeah, you won! Good game, Grace!"

"I won...? I have never won anything before..."

"Never say never!" I exclaimed. "Ah...I got to put on my uniform now and go to work. Since it's getting late."

"O-Okay!" Grace said, and then went downstairs. I put on my uniform and went downstairs, grabbed my purse, then I put on my security hat.

"Come on Grace! We're leaving!"

"Okay Y/N!" Grace yelled out and got up off of the couch. I unlocked the door and went in the car. Grace went to the backseat and I went to the drivers seat. I started the car, and started driving to the Pizzaplex.

Soon I parked the car and Grace and I got out.

"Remember Grace: Stay hidden from any security guard. Okay?"

"Okay! I promise!"

I went inside the Pizzeria with Grace.

"Okay! First I check on the animatronics. Stay hidden, okay? I don't know if the animatronics are programmed to do the job Vanessa has."

"O-Okay! Where should I hide?"

"Behind me is fine. Or right around the corner. Where the animatronics won't see you."

Then I heard footsteps...

"Grace! Hide!" I whispered as Grace jumped into a box she found.

"Y/N?" Vanessa asked me.

"Yes?"

"You have a...special job today. If you aren't too busy."

"I'm not! What's wrong?"

"Okay, good. There's this...kid running around. I think his name is Gregory. If you find him, tell me immediately. You have no other job today. Okay? The other animatronics know. Oh, also...before 6 AM, please meet me on the stage. Okay? I have a lot of business to talk to you about. Knowing that you're a STAFF now."

"Okay! Sounds good," I said. I was worried about Grace...and how that will affect her time here.

"Good. See you soon," Vanessa said and waved. She left, humming to herself.
