Outside Hogwarts (Sequel to Lovers at Hogwarts) [HIATUS]

Chapter 14: They have fun...for once.

"So..." Marlene started, trying to break the tension. It was so...quiet. She wasn't used to it. Usually Sirius would be laughing like hell and James and Lily would be bickering. Now... It's just so quiet.

"Nice weather we're having?" James said. It was meant to be a statement, but it came out as a question.

"Come here often?" Sirius replied just as awkwardly.

"Thats it!" Marlene said, sick of the silence.

They all stared at her.

"Can we do something fun?" Marlene asked. "It's just so quiet!"

"Marlene has a point. We can't go on like this." Lily said, agreeing with her best friend.

James, deciding to take Lily's side, agreed. "What do you suppose we do?"

"JAMES STOP!!" Lily giggled, squirming from James's grip. He was tickling her sides. Sirius was chasing Marlene and she squealed as she bumped into Alice.

Remus, on the other hand, had his nose buried in a book and was getting frustrated from the noise.

He stood up and announced, "I'll be in my room if you need me."

As Remus walked towards the staircase, Sirius tackled him to the ground from behind. Of course, Sirius was on top.

"Don't leave me Remus!" He screamed at the top of his lungs. "I LOVE YOU!"

Remus's cheeks were tinted pink. "Get off me, Padfoot."

"I know you like it." Sirius said, wiggling his eyebrows, then bursted out laughing.

"Oi! You love birds!" Marlene yelled. "Get a room before this gets real messy!"

James snickered at this. "Good Lord, Mar. Don't give them ideas!"

Lily and Alice giggled quietly, trying not to burst out laughing. And you know what? Screw it, they started laughing so hard they were crying. It was their ultimate OTP here.

"Will you shut up?" Remus muttered. Sirius hasn't moved yet, so they were still on the ground.

Sirius faked crying. "Don't you love me, Remus? I thought we had something special!"

"Sirius, don't be stupid. Get off."

He didn't. He hugged Remus while fake crying. "Remus, I love you!"

Remus tried, and I repeat, tried to push him off, but was unsuccessful.

"Padfoot, you're crushing my book."

"Sh!t, well no wonder hugging you hurt." Sirius said.

Sirius stood up and offered Remus a hand. Remus took it and picked up his book and brushed himself off.

"Thanks, Paddy." He muttered and trudged to his room, blushing.

"I'm exhausted." James sighed, wrapping his arm around Lily, who was falling asleep.

"Same." Lily muttered, nuzzling her head in James's neck.

"Who knew having fun was exhausting?" Marlene said.

"I don't know about you guys, but I'm famished." Sirius grinned, standing up from the couch.

"You're always hungry, Padfoot." James muttered.

Footsteps were heard from the stairs. Alice glanced and saw Remus.

"Decided to join us, Remmy?"

"What have you lot done? It's almost dinner time."

"Really? What time is it?" Frank asked.

"6:57."

"Dear Merlin." James muttered. "Can we skip dinner?"

Sirius's eyes almost bulged out of his sockets. "Skip dinner?!"

"Pads, you can go eat. Lily and I are going to stay put."

"I second that." Marlene said.

"But Maaaaar." Sirius groaned.

"Leave me alone, Sirius. 4 hours of fun drained me out. I'm going to bed." She replied, standing up from the couch. She steadied herself for a moment and trudged up the staircase.

"Who in Merlin's name sleeps at 7:00?" Sirius exclaimed.

"Me." She replied, her voice slightly muffled.

Sirius left the dining room to find James and Lily asleep.

"Really, guys? It's only 7:15." He muttered to no one in particular. "Moony, come on."

"What, Sirius?"

"Wake them up."

"Why do I have to do it?"

"I do not want to die in the hands of a fiery little redhead. Lily absolutely adores you."

"And what, I'll die in the hands of James?"

"Yes." Sirius laughed, backing up a bit.

"Padfoot."

"Shut up." James mumbled. "I need rest."

"At least go to bed, James."

"Ugh. Fine." James groaned, standing up. He laid Lily gently on the couch and stretched his arms.

He carried Lily bridal style, careful not to wake her up.

"Awww. Sweet of you, James." Sirius teased.

"Shut the hell up, Padfoot." He said.

"Alright, James." Sirius said, the teasing smirk still on his face.

James dragged himself upstairs, trying not to drop Lily and kill her.

"I hope they actually last long."

"I bet they'll be married in a few months."

"Wanna bet, Remmy?"

"7 months."

"9 months." Sirius said. "10 galleons?"

"Deal." Remus said, putting out his hand for Sirius to shake.

"Deal." He said, asking his friend's hand, sealing the wager.

"Goodluck, Moony." Sirius grinned.

"Ditto, my good man." He said.

The pair headed to their rooms, praying that they would win.
