He dragged me into a little bakery on a side of town I had never been on.

"What the fuck. Let me go!", I huffed and snatched my arm away.

"I'll let you go if you stop acting like a big baby and follow me. This'll be quick.", he said while gritting his teeth and grabbing me again.

I knew that if I allowed myself to go into this shop, his love for me could possibly go away because of his mother!

I couldn't let that happen.

"Boy, let go of her.", I heard a woman's voice say.

Shit.

He let go of my arm and turned around to hug his mother.

She just sat there with a straight face.

"Who's this?", she asked him.

Good, she was acting like she didn't know me.

"Oh, you haven't met her?", he hummed.

"I wouldn't be asking if I did. And did you try to hang up on me this morning?", she mugged.

"Mama, you know I didn't.", he pouted.

I could tell he was lying though and I wanted to laugh.

He was a mama's boy and I guess you could say it bothered me a bit.

He would drop me as soon as she asked him too.

It hurt knowing that.

I was crazy in love with this man and he'd rather use me to get his anger out then treat me with respect...

But that's on me for allowing it....

"I'm Keli.", I smiled and reached my hand out to shake hers.

Interrupting their bickering, she looked me up and down.

"Nice to meet you, Keli.", she smiled back.

He watched me as I interacted with his mother.

She grabbed my arm and pulled me behind the counter and began to ask me what types of sweets I liked.

Glancing at all the sweets I was about to pick one before he interrupted me.

"She doesn't need any sweets.", he spoke loudly.

A few people sitting in the bakery looked over at us.

"And why not?", his mother asked....her eyebrows coming together and making a 'what' face.

"Because she's a fucking liar.", he roared.

He came around the counter and grabbed my arm.

Dragging me towards the door, his mother gasped.

"What are you doing! You know I didn't raise you like this!", she yelled at him.

"You didn't raise me at all. My father did and this is what he created.", he yelled back.

The bell above the door dinged as he dragged me to the car.

"Wait!", I yelled.

"What?", he growled and threw me against his car.

He was being a bit more physical lately and I'm not sure if I could get use to it.

"Calm down. What did I lie about?", I said softly.

I lied about a lot.

I changed my whole persona for him.

But he didn't know any of that.
