"I can't believe you guys don't even see it!" Jughead started while Maren was painting Toni's nails and Sweet Pea was playing some game on a machine.
"Weatherbee is profiling us, telling us what to wear, what's next? Brain implants controlling what we think?" Jug paced in front of the two girls making Ren stop what she was doing.
"Jughead you sound like a conspiracy nut" Ren blanked.
"A school closed down" Toni smiled at him.
"-A crappy school" Sweet Pea added continuing to play.
"Now we're at a better one, with a computer lab and textbooks"
"-And toilets that flush"
"Getting transferred to Riverdale High is the best thing that could've happened"
"-Maybe ever"
"If i have to take off my jacket from 8:30 to 3, Monday to Friday, hey, i'm down with that" Toni continued all with a smirk on her face but Jug wasn't having any of it and he stormed off.
"Well this is great right?" Maren reopened the nail polish to continue painting. "But i can't get over what Aaron and Reggie are doing"
Sweet stopped playing and looked over at her, "What's their deal anyway?"
Ren huffed before looking up at him, "We're Northsiders, we were raised to hate you. Given every reason under the sun as to how horrible and untrustworthy and unsafe the Southsiders are" Maren shrugged while they watched her.
"How come you don't feel that way?" Toni asked.
"I did" Ren didn't look at either of them, "A long time ago but when you get older some of us realise that it was all to leave the divide between us"
"Then why's there such a stick up your brothers ass? And his friends?"
"Cause our parents!" Maren looked up at Pea, "Aaron is just like my dad, hates Southsiders and always will, if something bad were to happen you'd be the first they'd blame" Ren finished painting Toni's nails and stood up,
"It's just the way things are, the way they'll always be"

Ren and Willow stood side by side the next morning in front of Wills locker, as the beanie wearing Serpent walked by them.
"You've got to be shitting me" Maren breathed out as the leather Serpent jacket clung tightly to him. "Cmon Will" Ren pulled the girl towards the lounge knowing damn well who'd be there.
