'Powers' (Chapter 6)

{Historia}

I sat there thinking about whether or not I had any 'powers'. I was suddenly aware of what I was wearing. My dress wouldn't exactly help me blend in. I remembered one of my old books and an outfit one of the girls in it was wearing. I hear as gasp from James and quickly open my eyes to see him staring at me weirdly. "What?" I asked before looking down at my clothes. "Aaahh!"

I yelped as I fell back on to the bed. My dress was gone and was replaced by tight black ripped jeans and a blue tank top that said 'What you staring at?' That is freaky! It was the outfit the girl was wearing in my book. I stood up and wandered towards a mirror that was hanging across the room. I stared at my reflection thinking of a model I had seen on a magazine somewhere.

As I continued staring, I saw my hair change from its dark colour into a light brown colour with blonde highlights throughout. It also went dead straight and shortened to about twenty centimetres below my shoulders. I'm not sure whether or not to be exited or to freak out!

{James}

I was staring at Historia as she seemed to be lost in thought. All of the sudden her outfit began to change. Her beautiful black dress disappeared and was replaced by some fitted black jeans that were ripped in different places down her legs. She was now wearing a tight fitted blue tank top that said "What you staring at?" I couldn't help but gasp. Not only because of the shock from her magical changing outfit but also because of how beautiful had she looked. She looked like a model.

I saw open her eyes, startled by my gasp. Her face went white as she screamed and fell back on the bed. Her eyes were now a startling green, I think her change in eye colour is somehow linked to her emotions. By her reaction, I'm guessing nothing like this has happened before.

As if in a trance she wandered over towards my mirror. After a while of her staring at reflection her hair started to turn light a light brown colour. I wasn't sure whether or not to be scared or impressed, and by the looked or her face she was thinking the same thing.

"So by the look on your face I'm guessing nothing like this has ever happened before." I stated, trying to breaking the awkward silence that was filling the room. "This is definitely as new for me as it is for you." She stated. We both just sat there trying make sense of what just happened. "So, if you're planning on staying for a while you are going to need to blend in and this new ability is surly going to help. First we need to make your name more 'from earth'. Do you have any nick names or something?" She thought for a while. "Would Tori work?" Tori, was beautiful and suited her perfectly. "Tori it is."

{Historia}

Tori, this would take some getting used to. "Do you think it's possible for me to attend school? I never got to go to school on Otium because no one would take me as I knew more than some of my teachers." He looked at me with amazement.

{James}

Great not only was she the most stunning being in the world, she was also the smartest. I started to think of a way to get her into my school. Then it hit me. I was supposed to have a family friend come to stay with me and go to school with me but she cancelled saying that she would rather die than spend a week with a nerd like me. I was actually happy about it, she was a real stuck up snob anyway. I explained to her what had happened and that she could just pretend to be her.

"The school doesn't know her name only that she coming to the school for a while. It's perfect, I'll take you to the school tomorrow." I said with a proud grin on my face. The plan was perfect. "We should go to bed now because school is really early. All of the sudden she turned around and threw her arms around my neck. "Thank you." She whispered in to my ear.
