Man, this place is like a maze. Good thing I don't plan on staying long. I quickly clear my head and my face of emotions so that my captor won't get any satisfaction from me. Eventually we reached a large hall that looked like a throne room from a fairy tale. It had two fancy thrones at the end of the room. As I looked closer I could see the man who murdered James, he was circling the chair like a vulture. He was wearing a different suit but obviously has an aversion to colour, as this one was also black. His hair was once again gelled back and he carried the same snobbish posture.

"Ah finally, what took so long?" His voice was cold and he sounded slightly annoyed. "You really are a beauty my dear and you will make a lovely bride." He placed a finger under my chin and roughly tilted my face up to look at him. I quickly turned my head away from the touch of his ice cold fingers, not bothering to hide the look of disgust on my face. "I will never be your bride and never touch me again. I don't know who you are and frankly I don't care. You have no power over me and no leverage to make me do anything. The only thing I have ever cared about is dead by your hand." My words were practically dripping with hate.

"My apologies my dear, I forgot that we haven't been properly introduced. My name is Mortem and you will be my bride...."

"That will never happen. You'd have to kill me first and then how would your subjects react to the news, and I do not fear death as I have nothing to lose." I turned and stormed out quickly but not before seeing Mortem's face turn bright red. Good.

Who does that girl think she is? She will be my bride as she has no choice. "Woman, follow her and keep her in her room. Do not let her leave under any circumstance!" I have been planning for this single event my whole life and I will not let some stubborn brat take it away from me. I spent years sucking up to that oaf of a king, trying to learn where he managed to hide his daughter. He had heard a prophecy saying that his daughter will be the wisest and most beautiful ruler but there would be a man who would hunt her down and try to use her. So he hid her away from her kingdom.

She's smarter than her father, I'll give her that, and she is the most beautiful girl on this planet but the prophecy said she would not surrender to the man who tried to use her. This is where that prophecy is wrong because I know something that she doesn't.

This gives me the power I need.
