Seeing Pink (Chapter 10)

Tori is quiet the whole way home, like she's lost in thought. Her brow is furrowed in concentration and she looks like she's planning what she's going to say. Tonight I think I'm going to show her around the town to the little shopping village and park round the corner from us. When we got home I unlocked the front door and quickly got changed into my favourite jeans and a more comfortable shirt. I turn to the spare room and knock. There was Tori, the real Tori. Her hair was back to normal and she was wearing I shorter version of the dress she was in when I met her. "Um James you knocked?" Oh my god, I was staring like an idiot. "Um yeah I just was wondering if you wanted to come with me to walk around the neighbourhood, so I could show you the shops and stuff." I sound like a bumbling idiot. "Sounds great!" I see her close her eyes and suddenly she's wearing I cute, blue leather jacket. That will never stop being awesome.

I lead her outside and we start walking. We walk all the way to the shops and I show her all of my favourite places to eat. In the darkness we wander a bit further until we're at the park. In the moonlight she looks the same way she did when I first met her. Stunning, the way she just takes my breath away. We sit down on a bench that overlooks the park. She takes a deep breath in and moves to face me. "Look James, when I was in Otium I had no family. I lived by myself and even though it was my house it wasn't my home. I guess what I'm trying to say is..." before she could say anything else I kissed her. But she just sat there frozen.

I just sat there frozen. "Sorry I must have misread the situation." He said as he pulled away. "No." I said as I grabbed the sides of his face and pulled him towards me. If felt like fireworks. For this one moment time stopped it was just him and me, our lips moving in sync. Eventually we broke apart, both out of breath and smiling like idiots. He smile was amazing as was everything else about him. The way he looks at me with so much adoration. Just one glance, one smile, one word can make my heart beat from my chest. My past didn't matter anymore right now I was thinking about my future. And maybe, just maybe a future with him. For the first time I felt completely happy.

I could feel my eyes changing colour I didn't need a mirror to tell what colour.

They were pink...
