Personality: When it comes to protecting others, she's brave, selfless, and loyal. During a battle she'll often go to those who need help most and do her best to aid them. She is respectful and responsible, and she takes her duties as a magic knight seriously in every aspect. In a relationship, she'd prefer subtle displays of affection in public, if any at all. She doesn't mind her relationship being public, but she does not wish to do anything that could tarnish her squad's name or that could adjust their reputation from what it is. But, she will not hide the truth of any of her actions to protect her own reputation. She is honest, but careful with her words. However, she will not reveal any secrets, flaws, or mistakes of others. While she is generally a rule-abiding person, she believes that certain situations can warrant breaking the rules. She became a magic knight because she wanted to protect and help the people of Clover Kingdom. She is a hardworking person, having often attempted to work through her sick days in. She is an optimist, though not in every situation. She is kind and empathetic. She is patient, even in tense situations. She is careful to observe her surroundings before making a move. But when those closest to her are involved, she has a tendency to act rashly. She has a tendency of being reckless with herself; or being too selfless. She has a motherly and gentle side to her as well, and she has a soft spot for children and animals. Her motherly side comes out often around those younger than herself. Backstory: Julius found her when she had been abandoned as an infant and took her in. She met William when she had been wandering with Julius and they both saw him practicing his magic. Rhydia and William became friends, so Julius brought her along whenever he went to see William. When she grew up and got her grimoire, she took the magic knight entrance exam and joined the magic knights as part of the Crimson Lions. She spent a significant amount of time with the Grey Deer though. That was how she got to know Yami, and became closer to William. She spent a lot of time with the future captains/captains (Willliam, Yami, Dorothy, Fuegoleon, Charlotte, and Jack especially). She became especially close with Dorothy, Yami, and Fuegoleon - and through friendship with him, she met Mereoleona and Leopold.
Canon Plot Things
- At the ranking ceremony at the capital, she got into an argument, and almost got into a fight, with Solid over his treatment of Noelle.
- During the elf reincarnation arc, she was one of the magic knights who got possessed by a reincarnated elf.
- After the elf had left her body and she was caught up on everything that had happened, she had needed some time to process all of it. She told Fuegoleon beforehand, but she spent a full day wandering around the kingdom alone, thinking about all that had happened over the last few months (or whatever the time period is between the attack on the capital and the end of the elf reincarnation arc). While initially she was shocked and hurt to find out William's involvement with the Eye of the Midnight Sun, after she'd taken some time to think on it, she understood why he had made those choices and that he had also gone through a lot both in the past and recently, and that he was also pained and guilt-ridden by what had happened. And with her own involvement, it would be unfair and unreasonable to blame him.
- After Yami and William were captured by Zenon Zogratis, Rhydia could not function for a couple days afterwards. It took Fuegoleon and Mereoleona to talk her out of the state she was in and motivate her to put forth her utmost efforts to train and get much stronger.
