"Y/n! Get up! Your going to be late!" I hear my mum shout from downstairs.
"I'm awake!" I shout just loud enough for it to be heard. I sit up and grab my phone. 7:00 am. It was far too early and I was too tired to go to school. I climb out of bed and throw the duvet back sort of neatly. Throwing the cushions and teddies on and leaving it as it was before. A mess.

Luckily, I'd chosen my outfit the night before so I didn't need to worry about the stress of choosing what to wear for the day. It was the usual joggers and a plain crop top, along with my Nike trainers and a cropped hoodie to match the joggers. The best outfit possible.

I threw the outfit on and lightly brushed through my lashes with mascara, and combing my hair back into a ponytail styled up-do and securing it with a claw clip. I pulled some pieces of hair to frame my face and I was ready.

"Y/n! Breakfast!"
I trail downstairs and into the kitchen already seeing the rest of the family sat at the kitchen table eating.
"Sit down like your brother and sister are y/n." My mum says to me as I walk further into the kitchen. I nod and take a seat at the table in my usual seat, the closest to the door. For obvious reasons, an escape route. My mum placed the plates of food in front of each of us in the dining table. Pancakes, like we had every Monday morning. And the nice, fluffy pancakes as well.

We all pour syrup on them as well as out different choices of fruits. Of course, my brother being strange, adds chocolate sauce as well and ignores the fruit.
"Girls, your dad is going to drop you off at school as I have to get to work early. Micheal, the next door neighbour has agreed to take you."
I cut my pancakes into bitesize pieces and have a few bites before I feel off and place the knife and fork back onto the table.

"Y/n, honey. Eat your pancakes."
"I'm not too hungry this morning." I say blankly staring at the plate in front of me.
"She's just being a mardy bitch as usual mother." My sister, Meghan says.
"Meghan! I'll have none of that language thank you. And don't be so cruel."
"Well it's true. Look at her. All because her stupid little boyfriend broke up with her." She sighs.
"You and Rafe broke up!" My mother cries.
"Awh I really liked that one." Micheal says, also sighing.

"I don't want to talk about it."
"When did this happen honey. You never told me."
"Cause I didn't want you to question me. It happened on Friday after the football game. But I'm fine."
"It happened in front of everyone. They all saw it. He broke up with her." Meghan smiles.
"Jeez, Meghan. Could you be anymore sympathetic."
"I did try." She says having another mouthful of pancake.

Soon enough, my dad interrupts and the conversation ends quickly.
"What was that I heard about Rafe? You broke up?"
"Yeah. We did but it doesn't matter. Can we just go?" I get up from my seat and take my plate to the sink.
"Wait! I want your pancakes!" Micheal says rushing from his seat to take the plate out of my hands.
"Alright Micheal! You can have them, chill out."

I give him the plate and walk towards the front door to grab my bag. Leaving the house without any goodbye to anyone, and get in the front seat of my dad's car. Dropping my bag at my feet and putting my AirPods into listen to my music.

"Dad she's in the front seat again." Meghan cries.
"Meghan! She's had a rough weekend. Leave it be."

We arrive at school and Meghan is first to climb out the car. Making her way over to her incredibly annoying little dancer friends. That's the difference between us she was a dancer whereas I was a cheerleader, we were both well known at school but for different reasons. Her for her bitchiness and me for being Rafe's girlfriend. I climb out and as I go to slam the door shut, my dad stops it.
"Don't listen to her y/n. She's just trying to get to you. I hope you have a nice day."
"I'll try. Thanks dad." I then close the door and walk inside the school.
